I spoke with Devin and he claims he spoke with your wife when signing up for the packageIf you looked at the Directv site like you say then you already know the price of the packagesThere is no such thing as bait and switch we can only give the packages at the price that Directv sells them atFurthermore you as the customer has a right to look it up online as its public knowledge so we would never offer a price different than what you can see onlineWe take the card numbers at the time of sale to build the accounts as that is one of the qualification itemsI am sorry you are confused on the conversation and we are always willing to help with any sales or technical questions, but we do not have the ability to change the prices from what they are advertised atThere really is nothing else we can do here as we already gave you the options and let you pick Travis

To whom it may concernI did speak with *** *** today and what she wrote here is exactly what her and I spoke aboutThe only issue here like I told her before is that what the sales person's notes say and what the customers notes say are differentI told the customer we are not trying to
pass the buck and say that she is lying, but it is simply not possible to give her everything she wants for the price she thought it was going to beLaura is the sales person on this and she claims she quoted the customer $for tv (which is what is in our notes once you add up the cost of the plan + receivers + dvr service) I am not sure where the miscommunication was, but it obviously happened on this particular accountI did apologize to the customer and told her we could change her package or whatever she wanted to do to try and make it less money, but she did not want to do thatLaura has been selling these packages for years and I find it very hard to believe that she misquoted the customer I believe what happened is since there were so many moving parts to this deal (security with camera or no camera, keeping existing internet or doing new internet, changing tv providers or keeping existing provider) that the customer was mistaken on the price quoteThe customer states she has no written correspondence from the sales person and that I should just take her word that this is what happened, but the sales person expressly denies this and there is no way we can change the pricing since we are not doing the billingI did pay the customer $for an early disconnection fee and we drove over miles each way without a trip fee which is out of the scope of workWe have done our best to accommodate her and if there was anything thing else I could do I would gladly do it, but this is a miscommunication and unfortunately there is nothing that can be done by South Hill Satellite since the customer agreed to these products and pricing when they signed the agreementsThanks Travis

I received many calls from Laura G*** *** within about a week span, offering me an alarm system and *** **> I told her I was fine with what I had and she asked how much I was paying told her I was paying around $TV and $for AlarmShe said, she could save me some money and could bundle *** and *** alarm for $monthI asked her many times what was the catch because it sounded to good to be true and she said there was no catch just trying to save me some moneySo after of about a week and half of her calling me I decided to sign up because who doesn't want to save moneyI asked her what I would have to pay up front and she said nothing I would get a bill in the mail Tech came out installed everything, the next day $and some change was deducted from my bank accoun

I am rejecting this response because:Does he really think I would have agreed to everything she was telling me if I knew I would be paying more then what I was already paying? She made everything seem like such a good deal that is why I agreedUnfortunately I do not have anything in writing and that is my fault for believing in her scam becaus that is what it isWhat does driving miles have to do with anything, that didn't even come into the conversation why is he bringing it up now? Laura lied and Travis is trying to cover up for her, she knows what she said just doesn't want to admit itShe did the same to my niece but good thing my niece had text messages to prove what their conversation was and that is why they made it right for herI just don't want other people to have to go through what I am going throughNow I have to pay for the next years $over the next years becaus of miscommunicationI'm sorry but that is not how a business should treat their customersAgain the business will say more lies to get out of saying yes we mislead you but I will get the word out so other people don't get Scammed into thisIf there was a way to get our conversations over the last couple of weeks Travis and Laura would see that I am not lying and I am only trying to get what was offered to me!

Sorry for the confusion, but there seems to be a misunderstanding hereWe spoke about multiple options (to the wife of *** not to *** himself who seems to be writing this complaint) which is most likely the reason there is a misunderstandingFirst option for TV was SELECT PLAN for
$TOTAL or the CHOICE PLAN for $TOTALWhen he called in and spoke to Shawn he stated he wanted to pay $so the SELECT PLAN for $is what he gotAs for internet he is also confused on the pricing there is a gig plan for $or a gig plan for $(this has unlimited data it is just throttled down after the gig priority data)The customer chose the gig for $planThe prices are exactly what they always have been he is just confused on which plan he is takingThe customer may change plans at anytime with no cost to him to do so if the gig plan is not enough or if they want more channelsThis is not a bait and switch at all the customer's have been customers of ours for multiple years and we were just trying to help them stay in the best promo and equipmentLastly there was no upfront money charged to the customer I have no way of doing that so I am unclear why they feel that they were stuck.Thanks Travis

Complaint: ***'I am rejecting this response because: You are correct in assuming *** is writing this complaint and it was I who spoke with Devin not my wifeThere was no confusion on my part or my wifes part on what we heard and agreed to verballyWe are very aware of different levels of packagesBefore we agreed to sign with South Hill we checked with Direct TV and knew the different levels so when Devin said the choice package that included NFL Sunday for $we agreedAs for paying in advance why did they take our credit card number over the phoneSouth Hill treated us fairly in the past that is why we had no reason to not trust them this timeBut I stand by my statement that this was a Bait and Switch scheme

I signed up for a year same price Dish TV contract which was being advertised at that time - but I only received year at that price - I emailed the agent at least times during the year - mostly after I found out that Dish TV had me at that price for year only - I have the emails and the agents replies in which she assured me that it was a year contract - and then she stopped replying to my emails - Two weeks ago I phoned the business and talked to the manger and then I emailed him the emails and so far I have had no reply and Dish TV has doubled my payment -

Devin from South Hill contacted us by phone to convince us to switch from *** ** to DIRECT TVHe told us that for $dollars a month we would get CHOICE programming for years plus NFL Sunday ticket for yearWe asked about satellite internet service and he said we would get GB a month for $dollars a month and there would be no equipment feesWe said so we get all that for $dollars no add ons and Devin said that was correct.We paid a first month down payment and made our appointment for installWhen the tech arrived he wanted us to sign paper work for us to rent the receivers for $a month for each one installedwe refused to sign and tried to talk with Devin by phone but was told he was sick so we were referred to SeanWe told him what we agreed to with Devin and Sean agreed that it would just be $still get CHOICE package and NFL SundaySean said he would E mail a new contract over to us to signWe had to promise the tech that we would sign the contract as

We signed up for a yr contract for direct tv, adt & Comcast plan on 10/6/ We were told the yr price for direct tv plus adt package would be $per month No mention of an additional cost for adt of $ Also they would get our cost for Comcast down from $120+ to $or less a month We have yet to see our comcast bill reduced Further more we told them we didn't want adt but they said that was the only way to get direct tv for $ w/ no mention of an additional $for adt We fell this is not good customer service & misrepresentation

[redacted] is obviously back peddling trying to possibly save her job. She did in fact pull a bait and switch and absolutely called [redacted] saying she was my wife. Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:I find it curious at best to hear you say there is nothing you can do on your end. I assume you mean you will not honor the offer given us. The confusion seems to be on Devin's side and keeps saying he delt with my wife. That simply is not true he only spoke with her about Exede and the credit card payment. Yes, we knew the pricing through Direct and your lower price offer was the only reason we went through South Hill. I am very disappointed in South Hill and your sales staff and will not do any further business with you nor recommend you to anyone.

I have received her phone calls and email thread. We have called back 3 seperate times with no answers and have left voicemails. The program package she selected to get the price she has was a 1 year price. If she would have selected the 2 year price it would have been higher and she did not want...

that. I have gone thru all our records and it shows that the salesperson offered both options and she chose the 1 year price and was going to lower the package after the first year. We have been trying to call her over and over to explain this but is never available by phone. Her bill was lowered to 45.82 (after taxes) a week ago but again we cannot reach her to tell her.  I just now tried to call again and went to voicemail again!Thanks Travis

To whom it may concernWe did not call this customer to switch providers, we called this customer since they were a long time customer of ours to see how everything was going with the last system we installed. After talking with the customer they explained that the price was high for their current...

service and we gave them the option of going with a different provider to save money. The CONTRACT is 2 years but the promotional price is only 1 year. This is the way it works with all the TV providers ([redacted], [redacted], [redacted] etc) and this is not something we control it is governed by each provider. This customer is not even installed yet with the new system if he had been he would see the contract he must sign clearly stating the first and second year pricing. [redacted] said she has helped him in the past and that he is a very nice man so she offered to help him get any 2nd year discounts that may be available to him at the time for being a good customer. ( we have done this in the past where we 3 way call to [redacted] with the customer on the phone explaining we are the authorized dealer and the customer wants to get any available credits/discounts. We DO NOT get paid for this, but take the time to do it out of courtesy for our customers) As for cancelling the service as his wife [redacted] DID NOT do that as we don't have the authority or the info needed to do that. What she did was call on his request and ask to have the boxes shipped to his address once the order was cancelled by the customer and my guess is that the [redacted] rep assumed [redacted] to be related to him as I am sure it was not the same rep who spoke with [redacted] originally. I am sorry for any misunderstanding as I know there are a lot of moving pieces when getting new service and cancelling old service, but we were only trying to help the customer so it was an easier transaction for him.
