I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint You can see in their responses $dollars is not important to them" This is making me dizzy" This is the same I don't care attitude I have been getting all throughout and this is why I have no confidence they will return the engineadditionally that truck generates a day in revenue and had been down weeks nowAll I am asking for is a refund so I can move on with a reputable companyI am already having the engine rebuilt by another shop so it can start making money againI dont have time to send back a junk engine which will take three days and then wait or more days for their determination and then wait more days to get a core backJD has already said he is sure it is our faultand the people I have had look at it and the samples I have taken all say it was a used engine that was sold as a rebuiltAs I stated before the is beyond warranty this is fraud and theftI have retained all parts as evidence and they are welcome to send anyone out to look at itIn the meantime I want a refund.

We did not blow up the engine

On 6/22/one (1) engine bare block and two (2) cylinder heads were brought in to our company for machine workThe customer did purchase some internal parts to assemble the engine his self to save moneyThe customer on file is *** from repairs unlimitedNot Mr*** * ***. It is our
understanding they are friendsOn 8/4/16, we were contacted by Mr*** regarding his engine failureWe did agree to inspect the damaged engineOn 8/9/16, we found that the failure was caused by used/defective components installed by the customer during their assembly of this engineThe only services we provided for this customer “*** from repairs unlimited” is machine workThe machine work we performed was to OEM specifications by our certified machinistWe did not build and/or assemble the engine in questionIf you need any additional information, please feel free to contact us

As our invoice states, we do not offer refunds.   Once again,  his engine will be inspected and processed according to the terms of our written warranty, which the customer has a copy of.

Mr. [redacted] notified us that he  had a problem with  the cylinder head on the engine we sold him and we advised him that if he would have the head removed, we would have it picked up and if covered under our warranty , we would not only replace or repair the head, but also pay any labor...

cost associated with the repair.  That is our policy and it is written in our warranty, which was provided to Mr. [redacted] when he purchased the engine from us.  After removing the head, he called us with accusations that we had sole him a used engine.  We have never, ever sold  a used engine to anybody since we have been in business.  Aside from that, when the engine was first received and installed it would have been obvious at that point that it was used.  The pictures that were sent to us show an engine that has been severely overheated and/or abused.  We sold him a completely remanufactured engine with gasket set,   just like we have sold  every customer since we have been in business..  Our offer still stands to inspect his engine and/or head and take care of it, subject to the terms in our warranty.
