Paid over $for matchmaking services months after husband died; was coerced into it Lawyers have advised me that nature of business too subjective for prosecution I have received at least 5-bogus referrals; the men if they even exist, do not contact me This is one big rip off that preys on peoples feelings of being lonely and aloneIve filed c/o with ** Police Have demanded my money back to no avail The woman who runs it is named Janet and her last name isn't even listed on the business card, hmmmm

I joined this service and paid $8,about a yr ago They're supposed to provide dating options on a regular basis until such time I may find someone that I'd be dating long-term I was provided names and contact info via phone and I've last heard from this company in the later part of ' NO response s/p emails in the recent past They also didn't abide by my "wish list," stating they have no obligation to do so but in my contract I could turn that person down if I felt not the right "match." In my contract they were supposed to match me with up to about women if need be and I've heard as mentioned NOTHING from them in a long time and as mentioned they won't call me or email me back I feel they not only violated the contract but essentially stole my funds as a result I had issues with them since the beginning since they claimed I made derogatory remarks to one or two of the women I met and provided no proof of such not that it would matter!

This company is very good at hype They get you all excited about at least having a chance at a connection In reality, they cannot or don't care about meet their obligations Being tall myself, I stressed that I would like a guy to be at least feet tall Over and over this was ignored As on of my allowed matches, on person who never called me was counted as a match attempt Another who was counted was moving 1,miles away the very next day You are allowed to go on hold for a total of months so I took a month break When I came back I got a letter stating it would be 6-weeks before the could send a match weeks later I politely contacted them and got no response A few weeks later I sent a final communication that basically said I hope they are happy for making money for doing nothing

I joined the service and never recieved anything that was agreed toIn fact when I asked why I have not recieved any contact back they gave some bogus response that it was because I didnt do something when in fact it was because they were misleading and making fraudulent promises that they knew were patently as far as the type I would meet, etc

I met for hours with heir associate to review what I was looking for in a woman She began informing me of their services and their ability to achieve my goals and find a suitable woman for me that will match my expatiations.I completed their profile as it relates to the type of women I was seeking to meet a Christian who was both spiritually and physically fitHowever the two women they initially introduced me to were overweight and not spiritually compatible to me.It appeared as though they did not review my profile or the profile of the women they recommended to me to properly match me with a computable candidate They are either incompetent of insinuative to the needs of their clients or simply seeking money from me

The matchmaker service is a complete scam! "Dawn" showed me pictures and profiles of successful men; very attractive and active life syle, and promised me that I was going to be "easy" to match since I was also youthful, successful, and active When I didn't hear back from them, I did more research and found many unhappy customers Since I had not been introduced to anyone, I felt the contract was not consumated and cancelled They immediately put me in touch with a man that was not at all the credentials I expected! His grammar was deplorable and was not a gentleman I explained that I had cancelled my membership and could not respond - hung up and was doneThey are fighting me on this even though I cancelled within days of signing Dawn told me I had a grace period of the weekend, since I felt pressured to sign She assured me she would not process it until the next business day She lied Walk away from them and join the Class Action Law Case Against them! We can fight this scam if we unit join together

South Jersey Matchmakers stands by its initial response and the terms of its membership agreement.  That said, we are still trying to remedy this situation with [redacted].  Courtney, a matchmaker from South Jersey Matchmakers, called and left a message for [redacted] on July 3rd, after hearing about this Revdex.com complaint, which was South Jersey Matchmakers first indication that [redacted] was unhappy with the service.  [redacted] has not returned Courtney's call.  Courtney is calling again today.  We are hopeful that [redacted]'s opinion of South Jersey Matchmakers can be turned around.

First and foremost, South JerseyMatchmakers does not have any members named “[redacted]”.  However, South Jersey Matchmakers DOES have amember named [redacted], who has the same email address as [redacted]”.  The addresses do not match,but [redacted]...

[redacted] did pay $1,195 on 11/1/14.South Jersey Matchmakerstakes every member complaint very seriously, and it concerns us that [redacted]was so unhappy.   However, South JerseyMatchmakers has a firm ''no refund policy'' (See paragraph 4a. of the contract,which states: ''EXCEPT WHAT IS OTHERWISE PROVIDED HEREIN, THERE IS NO RIGHT TORESCIND THIS AGREEMENT.  South Jersey Matchmakers does not grant refundsor accept cancellations of any kind, unless otherwise stated in thisagreement.'').   Once a person enrolls in our membership and pays for ourservice the sale is final.  No right exists for that person to obtain arefund any time thereafter simply because that person changed their mind. [redacted] became a memberof South Jersey Matchmakers on November 1, 2014, purchasing six (6)introductions.  To date, [redacted] has personally received four (4)introductions—her most introduction was on June 26, 2015.  [redacted] has even provided positivefeedback about an introduction: “I enjoyed my time spent with Tim.”As stated in paragraph 3b. of the contract (which [redacted] initialed),''An introduction is made when South Jersey Matchmakers provides you with aname and a phone number of another member.''   Additionally,paragraph 3b. (''PREFERENCES'') of the contract states, ''Preferences are usedas a guideline for Membership services when seeking potentialintroductions.  As introductions are based on an AS-AVAILABLE basis,introductions will be made that are as nearly compatible to a member'spreferences at any given time.''   Further, the same clause states:''South Jersey Matchmakers, its agents and assigns, do not represent thecharacteristics, availability, quantity or demographic make-up of itsmembership base at any time.  You, the Member, acknowledge that themembership base changes on a daily basis due to changes in membership status,including, but not limited to: new enrollments, expired membership, membersbecoming involved in relationships, members traveling, and members temporarilysuspending their memberships.''   Further, an Addendum to thecontract, signed by [redacted] states the following: ''...I understand thatmy preferences are 'preferences' and not 'requirements'.  If at any time SouthJersey Matchmakers is unable to select an introduction who fulfills all of mypreferences, South Jersey Matchmakers will select an introduction who iscompatible with my preferences but who may not meet all of the preferences Iindicated in my profile.''  Having said that, SouthJersey Matchmakers is generous about replacing the introductions that do notresult in meetings or result in very disappointing meetings.  [redacted]is no exception to this generosity.   Based upon an analysis of Ms.Easterday's membership file thusfar, it appears that South Jersey Matchmakersis providing service to [redacted] precisely in the manner he contractedfor.  South Jersey Matchmakers isperforming according to the stated contract terms and services are mostdefinitely being rendered as agreed.   At South Jersey Matchmakers weunderstand that when people become members of such a personal service they maysecond-guess their decision.  Customer satisfaction is important to SouthJersey Matchmakers, and our staff looks forward to continuing to work with [redacted]in the process of finding that right match.  South Jersey Matchmakers haskept its side of the agreement and has remained within the parameters of thecontract. [redacted] is not entitled to a refund.
