Review: I was scheduled for a much need surgery on my left shoulder, on August 21, 2013. I called South Lake Surgery Center (Laplace Office) the week before to make arrangements and spoke to [redacted] She told me I had a balance. I asked if I could put down $100. She told me that they could take $400. I told her that was a lot and that I would call her back. I called her back a couple of days later after I was able to secure the $400. When I told her I had the $400, she hesitated and told me to hold on. She came back to the phone and told me that I had to put down $500. I reminded her that she was the one who told me $400 a few days ago. I told her to ask whomever she had talked to and ask them if I could put down the $400. Again, she had some hesitation in her voice and she told me to hold on. She came back to the phone and said that I had to put down half, $500. I told her that she told me $400 and now the amount had gone up. She apologized and said that was their policy.Desired Settlement: I would like to have this surgery on my shoulder. I have been paying on this account and I can't see why they couldn't accept the amount I was originally told. The $400 would have at least covered half of the balance.
