I called them due to an accidentThey said the tow would be $IF I got it towed to *** *** *** on *** * ***Also, he said I can pay now or when I pick up the carI informed him the coverages I had and he told me someone should have an estimate for me about WedDue to the holidayThe problem I have is that I was unaware of storage fees, administration, etc that would be associated with this towAdditionally, I get to *** and they said the tow is actually $175!! And I must pay cashTotal being over $600! The tow company says it's a alot of different factors that go into the price of tow and sounded like he was stumbling over his words so he wouldn't give out too much infoLooks like *** *** *** & his subcontractor South Philly Tow are working together to scam people out of hundreds of dollars

To whom it may concern,This letter is in response to the complaint filed against South Philly Towing, with the ID Of ***.I have interviewed the driver that was involved with this towAccording to the driver, we were called out to the scene of an accident, upon arriving the customer was unsure
on what to doOriginally the customer was going to have their car towed to their home, then they realized that they would have to get it towed a second time to a shop to get the repairs done, *** *** *** was suggested, and they agreed to have the vehicle brought there.While discussing their options, it was discovered that the customer had only liability insuranceSo they were aware that they would be responsible to pay for the tow and the repairs on their vehicleSince the accident occurred on a Saturday, on Memoria Day weekend, the customer was informed to contact the shop on the following Tuesday, due to the holiday.Our driver disputes the fact that he told the customer that the tow would only cost $100.00, our flat rate for an accident scene tow is $175.00, the driver says he made that clear to the customerThe driver has admitted that he may not have discussed storage charges, due to the customer stating that they were going to have the vehicle repaired at the shop, which would have negated the storage chargesI can not speak for *** *** ***, but I am not sure about the Administration charge.After talking to *** *** *** on Friday June, (days after the accident), was informed that the vehicle is still in their possession, and the customer hasn't paid any charges as of yetThey said that they discussed all of their options, and was waiting for them to make up their mindOne of the options was to fix the vehicle just enough to make it road worthy, which they say would cost $1100.00, other options included that they have the vehicle towed out of the shop, but they would have to pay the charges that were dueNot sure where the customer got he charge of $at, possibly at one point this was the charge, but the Customer was made aware early on that storage would accumulate, I'm not sure what the charges are as of today.As far as my dispatcher stumbling over his words, this customer was calling our dispatching number, not identifying themselves, and acting like they were requesting a regular tow, they were informed that our services were situational based, and they were not giving enough details when asking for a price over the phone, it wasn't till after a few of these calls that we were able to identify the customer.Considering that no money has changed hands, we haven't even been paid for the tow yet, I don't know why they want a refundThe customer has the responsibility that comes with car ownership to uphold, by them neglecting that responsibility, and allowing Storages charges to accumulate, they are making the situation Worst.believe South Philly Towing did everything we could to help the customerWe were professional, and compassionate, and We Would like to wish the Customer Good Luck.dharak You,Michael FO***
