Review: Contractor was hired to grind, repair & gell coat the fiberglass decks at our condo's.

He was paid in full.The gell coat lifted off the fiberglass a week after he finished.

He came back to look at what was happing & told us he would make the job right that his material was the cause.

He was supposed to make the repairs between Sept.& Oct.of 2012.I didn't contact him again untill this past Feb.

He told me he would do the work over as soon as the weather permited.I e-mailed him several more times.

All these exchanges are through e-mail and are readily available.Desired Settlement: For him to come back & redo the complete job.The gell coat is sticking to deck chairs & anything else you would put on it.

It has peeled ,cracked & lifted.

Gentlemen,I just got back from vacation,I acknowledge their complaint and accuracy,I dropped the ball in regards to making it right.I have our original unit numbers that need correction from our last meeting with [redacted] on or about 8/15/2012,as follows;[redacted] with goopy stuff stuck to deck to left of entry door.And common deck outside [redacted]bubble in fiberglass will be marked.Furthermore,I need to confirm that the original correction list is what we are responsible for as discussed,not redoing all the decks because now we dropped the ball,and their is normal wear and tear.We had what we believe was a partial substandard or bad batch of gelcoat,not all the gelcoat we used on the job was defective.We are able to fix the decks in October of 2013,we just need all the furniture off the referenced decks so that we may complete the work,Please be advised that the scope of this work was to;Grind,patch any minor fiberglass necessary to gelcoat,and gelcoat deck areas,we did not install the original fiberglass on the decks,and will not be held responsible for any fiberglass repairs that may or may not be necessary.Please be guided accordingly,[redacted]
