Review: I purchased some glasses for my child at the location. I liked the work and the service so I came back to pick up 2 pairs of glasses for myself and contacts for my other child. We received service on 9/**. My daughter and I both had eye exams and I picked out my glasses and she was fitted for the contacts. I made a $378 deposit and was told to come back next weekend for the glasses. I come back 9/** only to find a shell of a store. I told the clerks that I was there to pick up prescriptions for both my daughter and myself and was told they were closed. I asked for how long and I inquired as to why the customers were not notified as Sunday is my only day off and the store is far from my home. One of the clerks said my items were ready and she would drop them off to me at my work. They took my number and said they would make arrangements for drop off on Weds, 9/**. I didnt receive a phone call and went back to the location to get my items on 9/** and the location was completely boarded up in the mall. I went to the mall help desk and they said they were renovating and would be open the next week. I was there again 10/* and they were still closed and the mall information kiosk had no information. Im not sure why this seemingly reputable company that had been there for years has up and disappeared. I would like the items I paid for. This is outrageous.Desired Settlement: I would like either the glasses with our prescriptions or my money refunded and my insurance claim reversed so I can procure eyeglasses/contacts elsewhere.

Review: I needed my annual eyeglasses as well as eye exam done by a vision center. I went in person to South Shore optical and a vision test was conducted for glasses Rx. I was told that the pressure eye exam was to be done at a later time because a part on the machine needed to be replaced and that I would be notified when the part was in. I have a history of [redacted] in my family and am a Registered nurse therefore I understand the importance of an annual eye pressure screening. On 11/** after not hearing from the above business, I contacted the office manager Ms. T[redacted] who stated that they were still waiting for a part for the machine and that she would contact me. I explained to her that a friend of mine (who is also a [redacted] has also not received her exam and was told three weeks prior that she would be contacted about the exam when the part came in. To make a long story short, Ms. T[redacted] told me that the part should be in by 11/**/15 and if not she would arrange for me to have an eye exam with her friend/acquaintance. It is now 11/**/15 and I have not heard anything from them and am dissatisfied with the sense of non-urgency from this facility. This is not acceptable practice from any establishment and I would not recommend going back here to anyone because of this practice. The staff was accommodating and friendly especially Sabrina but the bottom line is that I need my eye pressure exam ASAP and if they could not do it then a referral should have been made for an alternate place for me to go to receive my eye pressure exam.Desired Settlement: I would like to be scheduled for an eye pressure exam either at the facility or at another facility ASAP. I hope that they did not bill my insurance company for any service that they did not complete fully.
