I am rejecting this response because: This matter is well over a year old. Here is a copy of the EOB from the secondary insurance which is showing they paid. I took a picture of the x-ray they took and can provide a copy of an x-ray from a different dentist proving that the dentist did in fact chip my tooth. The dentist was morning that willing to fix it and I wasn't pressuring him at all. I was very nice to him. He hid like a coward and had the office manager do the work. I advised her I had a chipped tooth when I called. I am the one who stated I didn't want to do any more work because of the balance and that is why I hadn't come in for cleanings. She is totally twisting my words. Everyone was really nice and cooperative until the witch came in and starting demand and yelling at me in front of other customers and she is the one who stated they refused to fix it and I had to leave NOW! I was given no options! I would have been willing to pay cash to get it fixed but I was never given that option. The dentist told me he wasn't showing my insurance and asked me for my insurance card which I happily provided him and told me he had to go get a consent form and then the office manager came back.
Sincerely,

We have two dental offices. The balance that the patient is disputing is with South Valley. She has dual insurance and we are still in the process of coordinating benefits. When the patient called our 2nd office she indicated she had been postponing a cleaning because of a balance she disagreed with...

and refused to pay. I told her I would check into the problem with the previous treatment and insurance company and I indicated that the cleaning and checkup she needed to have done would be covered in full between the two insurances. We scheduled her for a cleaning. I wasn't at the 2nd location on the day she came in. She sat down and they started the cleaning when she indicated she was there for treatment. I had been worried this would happen given her history and had noted on the appointment that no treatment other than the cleaning was to be done as there was still a balance in question at South Valley. The patient continued to press the doctor, who was unaware of the issues with her insurance, to do the treatment.  I was called in to speak with the patient. I came in and gave the patient an update on the issue with her balance and what we were doing to get the work processed correctly with both insurance companies. I explained the reason we scheduled her for a cleaning and reminding her of our conversation. She stood up and said that we could take her to court and she was not going to pay the balance at South Valley. Then she said she would find another dentist. I told her that we would continue to process the claims and let her know when we heard from her insurance. She claimed she had an EOB stating that she had paid in full. She has been indicating she has this EOB  each time she receives a bill and we have yet to see it. Either way, it does take time to bill two insurances. After she stood up and claimed she wouldn't pay and we could take her to court if there was a remaining balance, she stood in the hall and yelled that the doctor was willing to do the treatment and make her happy and I wasn't willing to help her out. I explained she was causing a scene and told her that I was not about to add more of a balance to an account for a patient that felt she was not ultimately responsible for a balance remaining no matter how many insurance companies we billed for her. I asked her to leave. She continued to yell and cause a scene out of the office. Not once did she mention anything regarding her chipped tooth which has been chipped for over 3 years. During an exam the doctor lightly touches each tooth but there is no scraping. The exam had been started and xrays were taken. Nothing on the anatomy of the tooth changed from the time she walked in to the time she left our office. The doctor states that nothing was removed from the tooth and nothing fell off of the tooth during the exam. When the patient called back to request that we send her any xrays and patient information is the first I heard her claim that the doctor had chipped her front tooth. We have evidence that shows the condition of the tooth prior to her visit and while she was here. We stand behind the assessment of the doctor - that tooth looks as it did when she walked in. We will take care of the balance for [redacted] with South Valley. Nothing will be billed to the patient. She is correct that the initial charges are over a year old. I think her solution to see another dentist for her future dentistry is the best solution for any future work.  If you read her initial complaint she claims came in for treatment for her last visit and that we scheduled it wrong. Now in her response she is stating that she is the one who called to schedule a cleaning which is correct and what I said in my response. She was scheduled for a cleaning. I have no idea why she came in claiming she was scheduled for treatment and caused a scene when I told her treatment would not be completed. On the initial phone call she did mention treatment she still had to do but not the front tooth specifically. That front tooth she is claiming we damaged has been chipped for several years and a previous owner had diagnosed a crown. I will go to court regarding the x-rays and history we have for [redacted] regarding that front tooth. It was not damaged by our doctor at her last visit and we do not accept any responsibility for it.
