Keeps charging late charges when they shouldn't have been on there in the first place.I had opened a savings account and had an u authorized payment come out and the company who had taken the payment out had done that in error. So if was fixed but then the bank kept charging me fees that shouldn't have been there. And now I'm in collections? There were never fees from any transactions or anything like that from me.Desired SettlementPut the account to zero, close it and take it off of my credit report.Business Response Thank you for taking the time to contact SFCU to explain the issues that have occurred on your account within the past year. We strive to resolve all issues as quickly as possible for everyone concerned.In reviewing your account I can see that there was a debit from a party on 12/3/13. I am sorry if they did this in error though there would be no way of us knowing this. On 12/11/13 there was another debit which brought about the situation you have reported.In an effort to resolve this situation we have refunded most of the fees incurred on this account. We have made an effort to contact you so that this situation could be resolved. Unfortunately, with the account not being in a position where we could close it we are required to report it to the credit bureau. I have tried contact a person at SouthEast Financial and they never called me back regarding this complaint as to get it resolved. At this time, unable to leave a voice mail and no responses to the two emails sent as of today. Southeast Financial Credit Union would like to resolve this issue; however, will be unable to do so unable contact is made. It is our recommendation that the member leave a message with the[redacted] at XXX-XXX-XXXX with a time and date to discuss the issue with the member's account. As it was stated previously by member services. "In an effort to resolve this situation we have refunded most of the fees incurred on the account." There is a balance still due on the share account and must be paid. Again, please contact the[redacted] at XXX-XXX-XXXX.
