Review: The contract initially stated that my house would be completed within 3 to 4 weeks. However, it's going on the fifth month and my house is still not completed. To add, [redacted] have constantly stated that my property would be finished within 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 days,etc.,etc. In addition, I now have a gas leak in the house. I had to call the Fire Department on 6/21/13 they came out and disconnected the main vale. This occurrence has gone on a week and [redacted] has never came to the house to resolve this issue. [redacted] has also put material in my house that I never approved of such as: cabinets, fixtures in the bathrooms, and he never installed the material I have in my house. [redacted] has failed to meet the obligations under the terms of the contract and his subsequent failure to remedy the default. Thus, I want him terminated from this project.Desired Settlement: I want to sue him because he has violated the contract. I lost out of money for not going to work because of this issue; also, i'm paying rent when I should be staying in my house.

He has not been constantly working on my property.he is short of men. I have a gas leak, lights dont work and the main a/c unit was stolen from the property. all of these things are the causes and he has not resloved them

Review: Mr. [redacted] received a substantial (more than 10% total contract cost) $3,700 down payment on 7/29/2013 when contract was signed for the construction and materials of a bathroom addition and garage footer/slab. According to Mr. [redacted] the job was supposed to only take 2 weeks (14 working days). Mr. [redacted] begun work on 08/01/2013 and received an extra $2,000 on 8/02/2013 when he complete the foundation work for the bathroom. Mr. [redacted] was not able to procure materials necessary to start framing. After numerous calls and texts over two months of zero work, homeowner agreed to pay an extra $712.38 to lumber company on 09/27/2013 for material for framing to begin. After the material was received at the job site, Mr. [redacted] was not able to provide the necessary labor to start framing. Furthermore Mr. [redacted] was not able to provide labor to move AC as per the contract (AC had to be moved before framing could begin). Homeowner paid an extra $1,340 on 10/03/2013 to an AC professional to relocate the AC. After 2.5 months and $5,700, Mr. [redacted] had still not started framing claiming the money homeowner had paid him was stolen. Homeowner cancelled the contract on 10/18/2013. Mr. [redacted] agreed to refund home owner the down payment. As of 12/12/2013 the homeowner has not received any of the refund from Mr. [redacted].Mr. [redacted] represented himself as a licensed contractor. Homeowner has now verified Mr. [redacted] is/was not a LA licensed contractor at the time the contract was signed.Desired Settlement: Homeowner did not receive the refund as agreed by Mr. [redacted]. Homeowner will now be pursuing legal action against Mr. [redacted].
