A warning to active duty service members and government employees who may receive overseas assignments: Southeast Toyota will not allow financed vehicles to be taken out of the country They do not tell you this when you are signing your financial contract either There is a clause in the contract that states "you agree not to take the vehicle out of the US without their permission" which is deceiving because I was told they do not grant permission, not even to service members, under any condition I experienced this personally with my own situation and had to refinance My supervisor who is also transferring overseas this summer, an active duty officer and military lawyer, encountered the same situation with his vehicle financed through Southeast Toyota He tried to convince them this was bad business to not support military members but they would not budge I would advise anyone who is in the military or has any possibility to be relocated to a foreign location to not deal with Southeast Toyota Finance
This company is a terrible scamThey act like they are owned by toyota when in fact they have nothing to do with toyota besides stealing from customersI moved home after college and leased a new toyota up northSetf is trying to charge me $in damages that were not even present in the vehicleDo not lease or buy with this company!!
I will not finance any vehicle with this company again We payed consistently for 3+ years and one payment was late by a few days They instantly reported to the credit rating agencies and dinged my credit Now, unfortunately year later, my lovely wife did the same thing and they have instantly reported again
I hate being late but I admit that stuff happens and they do not have any conscience and my credit rating is impacted negatively Again, we did not pay on time but I do not expect AN INSTANT NEGATIVE HIT TO MY CREDIT?!
