January 22, 2015This is in response to [redacted] 's responseFirst, I would like to point out that [redacted] has taken it back again to Southern Stables Automotive for the same issue that she took it there for previouslyThey "supposedly"fixed this on the first invoice, but as noted on their invoice under the client concern frequest area [redacted] is again stating that the pedal is going to the floor and there is a noise from the rear when brakingThey also replaced the blower resister, which we have done several timesWe do not use "bad" parts as [redacted] states'm not sure why she would arrive at that conclusion as the parts that we used were from NAPA automotive and one of the same places that Southern Stables gets their partsAs far as the AC work that [redacted] wants refunded- [redacted] does not understatnd that the blower motor is not related to whether the ac blows cold or the heat blows hot, its function is to regulate the fan speedThe AC work that she is referring to was done in and is far from the warranty period and the blower motor resister does not relate to the heating problem she was having at the time [redacted] is also not entitled to a refund because anything that was done after the December 16, Invoice was not paid forI had zero'd the invoices out but put the totals back in to show [redacted] what the charges would have beenalso noticed that she insinuated on invoice ***-in handwriting, that we had taken some invoices from her wanWe did no such thingI feel that we have gone above and beyond in driving her vehicle to duplicate the problem and in making a "guess" attempt to repair because we could not duplicate the issue [redacted] chose to continue to drive the vehicle even though toid her each time that we could not duplicate the issue and we were trying to rule out any possible issuesIt also appears that Southern Stables has been unable to "fix" the vehicle as well, as it has also been back for the sarine issues two times there as well.As far as the refund for the [redacted] , I had given the inforamtion to the insurance company and they are handling thatThe vehicle was in poor condition as stated in my last responseI am very sorry that we were unable to duplicate the problem that [redacted] had with her vehicle but feel that we have done everything that we possible could do for her in this situationSincerely Elaine M

January 22, 2015This is in response to [redacted]'s response. First, I would like to point out that [redacted] has taken it back again to Southern Stables Automotive for the same issue that she took it there for previously. They "supposedly"fixed this on the first invoice, but as noted on their invoice 22096 under the client concern frequest area [redacted] is again stating that the pedal is going to the floor and there is a noise from the rear when braking. They also replaced the blower resister, which we have done several times. We do not use "bad" parts as [redacted] states. 'm not sure why she would arrive at that conclusion as the parts that we used were from NAPA automotive and one of the same places that Southern Stables gets their parts. As far as the AC work that [redacted] wants refunded-[redacted] does not understatnd that the blower motor is not related to whether the ac blows cold or the heat blows hot, its function is to regulate the fan speed. The AC work that she is referring to was done in 2009 and is far from the warranty period and the blower motor resister does not relate to the heating problem she was having at the time.[redacted] is also not entitled to a refund because anything that was done after the December 16, 2014 Invoice was not paid for. I had zero'd the invoices out but put the totals back in to show [redacted] what the charges would have been. also noticed that she insinuated on invoice [redacted]-in handwriting, that we had taken some invoices from her wan. We did no such thing. I feel that we have gone above and beyond in driving her vehicle to duplicate the problem and in making a "guess" attempt to repair because we could not duplicate the issue. [redacted] chose to continue to drive the vehicle even though toid her each time that we could not duplicate the issue and we were trying to rule out any possible issues. This letter is in reference to [redacted]'s complaint. [redacted] had her 1999 [redacted] in on Dec.10, 2014. She complained of a noise and also that her pedal traveled before the brakes kicked in. (invoice [redacted]).We test drove the vehicle but were unable to duplicate the issue with the...

brake pedal. As a precaution, we adjusted the rear brakes. We did hear a noise in the front when driving so we also bent the front backing plate into position as it was bent and touching rotors. We test drove the vehicle again and did not hear the noise or experience any issue with the brake pedal. She had stated that this was intermittent. She then took the vehicle. Sometime thereafter, [redacted] had contacted me. She had been traveling to an appointment when she had an issue with her brakes. She had the vehicle towed in. Upon inspection of the vehicle, we found the right front caliper was stuck and scored into the rotor. We replaced the front pads, rotors and brake hose. While it was there, [redacted] also mentioned that a the heater/ac fan only worked on a few settings. This repair was part of another repair that had been done several years ago but we replaced the blower motor resister again at no charge. We dropped the vehicle off to [redacted] and no payment was made for any of the repairs performed. We did not hear from [redacted] again until around July 9th. She again stated that the pedal had gone to the floor when brakeing. We test drove the vehicle several times but were unable to duplicate the issue. As a precaution, we replaced the brake master cylinder in the event it was failing. We then drove the vehicle approximately a total of 50-60 miles and at no time did we have an issue with the brakes, We then dropped the vehicle off to [redacted] No payment was made at this time for the work performed.
[redacted] called around the end of October at approx. 3pm and told me that we had to meet with her after we closed. I told her that Bill was out of town and that we would not be able to meet that evening on such short notice. She would not tell me what the meeting was about, only that it was not a good thing if we were unable to make it. I told her that would not be able to make it but that we could as soon as Bill came back. She finally agreed to meet when Bill came back.
When we met, [redacted] requested that we reimburse her for the work done at Southern Stables. We had no knowledge of the brake issue occuring again prior to this. We told her that none of the above completed work was paid for with the exception of invoice [redacted] and only $39.98 of that was related to the clean and adjust and that we were not reimbursing her for the repair done at Southern Stables. [redacted]'s original complaint was that the pedal went to the floor. We tried several times to resolve the issue but since we were unable to duplicate the issue, we were unsure of what was acually occuring.
With regards to the 1995 [redacted], [redacted] brought the car in for us to check over. believe her son was getting the car from a deceased grandfather. [redacted] also informed me that there was an ongoing dispute with another gentleman who also wanted the car. We did check the vehicle over. The mileage was 136144. There was an SES light and ABS Eight on. The battery would not hold a charge and needed a hold down. The drivers seat would not adjust back and forth. The drivers window switch in the armrest was falling out. The OBDll port would not communicate with our computer and most of the wiring under the dash appeared to be pulled out and down. We did not do any repairs at the time because [redacted] was waiting for the estate to be settled on the vehicle and it was not in her name yet, so the vehicle just sat on our lot. I reported the vehicle to the police and also to our insurance company, who is taking care of any issues regarding the vehicle.
You may contact me if you have any additional questions. may be reached at ###-###-#### or emailed at [redacted].com.Sincerely,
Elaine M
