Do not, I repeat do not ever spend you time and money with Southern Belle Vacation Rentals in Savannah Georgia It is absolutely the worst vacation I have ever had and a waste of my hard earned money The cottage we rented was clean, but that was it! We were told we could not adjust the thermostat lower than and it was degrees in the cottage when we arrived The location...um...we needed bars on our windows and constantly had people walking in the alley behind our cottage...we never felt safe, and we were always hot and there was a terrible smell we could not find ...we left early and went home Please, please, never stay here...I know there is no way I can get my money refunded if they are not affiliated with the Revdex.com....but I am doing this to warn others We saved money for this vacation for a year...what a waste!!!!!
I rented on Tybee Island from 6/to 6/ It was a celebration of my 75th B-day and had lady relatives(ages to 62) join me! Had less than planned We had a wonderful time The accomadations were excellent We certainly rate the duplex we rented at a We could have used more kitchen towels and bath towels - only towels for Ran out of dishwasher soap and paper towels Not alot of cooking utincils but lots of dinner and glass ware!! Also no bath soap in one bath Thank you for a great time and we would love to return Beach was great! Ease of getting into Savannah was great!! Restaurants in Tybee great!!
I was booking a rental and told it was availableI paid in full with a checkThen hours later I get an email saying it was already bookedThey offered me a more expensive home didn't try to accommodate me and were not concernedThe prices were not the same as they were quoted on homeaway.com and they didn't see to care or have a real reason for that eitherI called them to discuss this and I was hung up onThen I called back and was put on hold multiple timesThey still have properties on the website saying they are available when they aren'tThis place needs to get there act straightCustomer services has no meaning to them!
Reserved a condo rental three months in advanceIt was for my honey moon!!Arrived at Southern Belle to pick up keys to the ocean front property I had reserved three months prior and the manager said they no longer had the propertyThey moved me to a condo across a four lane interstate!! Not ocean front as I had reserved three months prior!!!! Manager nor owners offered any solutions to fix the problem other than giving me a $discount on my bill!!!!!! How demeaning is that!!! Took me off ocean front that I reserved three months prior and then offer me a discountLooked for ocean front condos today and they are now another more than original reservationI'm stuck here in this condo I neither want nor reserved with NO HELP WHAT SO EVER FROM MANAGING COMPANY!!They are running a bait and switchOffer you ocean front and then moving you across a busy intersection!!!

The location...um...we needed bars on our windows and constantly had people walking in the alley behind our cottage...we never felt safe, and we were always hot and there was a terrible smell we could not find ...we left early and went home. Please, please, never stay here...I know there is no way I can get my money refunded if they are not affiliated with the Revdex.com....but I am doing this to warn others. We saved money for this vacation for a year...what a waste!!!!!
Southern Belle Vacation Rentals gave us the wrong house!! Thankfully we discovered it before the vacation started. The house we thought we rented was already booked by that time however. They wouldn't make it right and refused to compensate us. After much pleading to at least give us the difference in price for the cheaper house we ended up with they finally agreed. (It was listed as cheaper on every website!!) The mistake was totally their fault and we had to make all the compromises.
Although the house is listed as 4 bedrooms, the 3rd and 4th bedrooms were actually sitting rooms on the main level that had been closed off with a curtain and were separated only by pocket doors. The main floor bathroom shower is in full view of the next door neighbors second floor. We found a big piece of cardboard to put up in the window. In addition our bed (the one with the curtain as a door) had such a squeaky box spring that any slight movement woke us up. I could go on!! The condition of the property is in much need of updating and cleaning. I feel like we got the bait and switch on this property.
