Southern Collision Center Greenbrier

Paint did not match car color. Contacted director Bill *** and concerns were ignored. They were paid in full by Geico.

I had an accident on 8/31/2018 and took my car into Southern Collision.

I informed Jessica *** Advisor Assistant, that I had the car painted by Maaco prior to this accident several years ago because the paint had begun to peel and rust. After speaking to her, I decided to bring my car to Southern to have the bumper repaired and painted. She assured me that they could match the color and would contact Maaco to get the correct paint color to match the current paint color.
When I picked the car up I saw that the color was not the same, spoke to a customer service representative and was told that there would be no problem correcting the color because Southern stands behind their work. The service worker further added that I should give the paint some time blend in since the paint was new.

When I returned, Ken *** the collision center manager noted that, the paint was a different color but that the only thing Southern Collision guaranteed was to paint it the color from the manufacturer. I told him that was incorrect because I asked prior to releasing my vehicle to Southern if, they would be able to match the paint and Jessica *** documented this in her paperwork and said that Southern would be able to match the color.

During the process of attempting to match the paint, your painter called me and I referred them to Maaco. The painter contacted Maaco and Maaco gave the painter the correct paint codes to match my current car color along with the tint. I have verified this phone call with two Maaco employees from their paint shop.

Once again, I refer back to the incorrect information from Ken *** and the fact that he stated that Southern only guaranteed to match the manufacturer color. According to the Maaco representative, most paint shop facilities when the color cannot be matched employ cameras that can accurately determine paint color. In rare incidents where the camera cannot match the paint color Southern has sent the part of the car that needs the paint matched to Maaco to match the color that Maaco painted the car. This was not done with my bumper.

Jessica *** longer employed by Southern) and Ken *** misrepresented the company's ability to do the job correctly. Ken *** told me that Southern did not have the capability to do do the job but was not going to do anything to correct the paint color. They have ignored my phone calls, as I attempted to resolve this matter.

Southern was paid in full and did not do the work properly. Further, at some point Ken *** told the painter to paint the car the color from the manufacturer in order to get it out of your shop.

Just FYI according to Ken *** logic if I had painted my car red due to rust concerns and its original color was white, I would now be driving a red and white car. It makes no sense at all that Southern Collision would expect someone to agree to such itic reasoning and to be satisfied with such poor workmanship regarding the paint matching of my car.

I reached out to Richard *** an adjuster from Geico via email regarding this matter as well. They contacted Southern concerning this matter. I waited in expectation of receiving a call from Southern or some form of communication. I did not heard from anyone representing Southern Collision until 3/6/2019.

I emailed Bill *** the Director of Southern Collision, for Southern to rectify this matter and have the bumper painted the matching color of the car as it is now. He told me he would take care of the matter and after several phone calls he did nothing as well.
