I am rejecting this response because:Hello ***,I tried to respond to the complaint ID # *** and kept getting errors from your webpage. Could you please add this response to reject the business response with this info (including the pictures):Apparently SCE’s view of perfection and a completed job differ vastly from myself and the others that have seen the state that this job was left in. Also, it is evident that SCE’s so called one year warranty on their work is a worthless lie since they won’t even fix the holes and cracks in the walls they built. As for the additional work requested, every single “additional” task requested by myself was in response to the carelessness and almost endless screw-ups brought on by SCE’s negligence and failure to communicate design plans to their work crews. I have no problem at all paying for an honest day’s work and SCE’s comment that I requested extra work at the same price is a flat out lie. In fact, there was extra work added to this job that I did pay for in full. We were not working under a firm fixed price contract, in fact SCE never even produced a contract for this job after repeated requests. However, I do refuse to pay for someone else’s mistakes. A few examples from this job are: The overcutting of the hill in my front yard and rupturing my water main on the first day of work….which in turn caused me to spend an additional ~$on a retaining wall. Or how SCE employees cannot measure 15ft and build a wall at a 45deg angle. This failure ended up placing a wall within foot of an arroyo that required additional rock to be placed in the arroyo to protect the misplaced wall….which SCE failed to do properly. Or how SCE’s equipment operator dug out the hard natural earth berm at the top of my driveway, which is prone to washouts during heavy rain, and then filled the depression with loose sand. This combined with the 2-6” of dirt that SCE spilled all over my compacted crusher fine driveway now makes a clear path for flood water to run directly into my garage. Lastly, SCE doesn’t tell you up front that they do not finish their walls, they leave concrete smeared all over the rock and call it done. When confronted about this SCE said the concrete on the rock will fall off after a few years. I’m sorry, but I don’t think anyone expects to have a finished looking wall in “a few years”. I could go on for several pages detailing the promises and every mistake made by SCE on this project but that would belabor the point. Attached are several photos of how SCE “strives for perfection” and went “above and beyond” on this “completed” job. As for the theft of my personal property, they used our 12ton pile of washed plaster sand (~$150), which was promised to be replaced. I have decided not to file criminal charges with the police at this time. SCE can consider this a gift and I do not require anything more from SCE at this time. I understand that SCE has been going through some hard times and I pray for the owners, employees, and their families every day. I hope they are happy, unstressed and doing well. We have completed this job. We believe we went above and beyond the demands of our customer. We tried to satisfy him the best we could and give him what he asked for, but he always asked for extra work at the same price he was quoted. We try to satisfy our customers the best we can but sometimes...

extra work cannot just be given away. All his demands were met and we do not know what else to do to satisfy him. We strive for perfection in our work and are saddened that Mr. [redacted] feels unsatisfied with out work. We wish him the best and hope he finds the right contractor to meet his needs in the future.
