I am rejecting this response because: The date of the transactions are Feb 16, 2015.We do not have an original receipt as the waitress "Susan" did not supply one and we had to get my father in law to the train so after waiting for some time, we finally left without it.On receiving our American Express bill, we found the errors. American Express has supplied copies of the receipts which I am attaching. Item on the page is the receipt which as $added to the tip and to total changed FROM $to $65. Item is the forged receipt which we would not have had an original since it is not our charge. The signature is clearly not a match. I did notify the owner/manager by phone who said he would look into it but he has not resolved the matter

The customer should notify her credit card company & dispute it for we can't locate the receipt of her transactionsThis is the best & efficient way to have her credited to her account faster
WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR THE CHARGE SLIP FOR 3/2/WE HAVE LOOK DAYS BEFORE AND AFTER BUT HAVE NO RECORD OF ITIF BY ANY CHANCE THE CUSTOMER STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL COPY OF THE DISPUTED CHARGES, WILL BE HAPPY
TO LOOK INTO ITWE DO APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCOVENIENCE, IF IN FACT IT DID HAPPEN IN OUR RESTAURANTAS SOON AS WE LOCATE THE SLIP CHARGES OR CUSTOMER SEND US A COPY VIA EMAIL, WILL BE HAPPY TO GET CHARGES REFUNDED
I am rejecting this response because: Of course the business is not going to "find" the original receipts as one receipt had changes made to it adding additional monies to the tip and the business would not want consumers to see this. The second receipt was a forgery and signatures is clearly not ours but was an additional charge and receipt made to our card - we as the consumers would not have a copy of this forged receipt since it was not a charge made by us. The credit card company can see the change made to the first receipt and could see our signature was not ours on the second. The credit card company has graciously refunded the amount in dispute. I still feel the business still owes the credit card company the amount stolen. It is unfortunate a business can take advantage of seniors in this manner. I hope people will check their credit card statements after eating at this restaurant. $28 is a small amount to take from one person but imagine if they took $28 from every client.
