Inaccurate Advertisement, Poor Customer Services, Unauthorized Insurance claims, and Unprofessional Doctor I am writing this complaint to report a Doctor imposing to be a Periodontists, and providing false advertisement for same-day implants on his website. On June 18, 2015 Dr. [redacted] made my life a living hell. Since visiting his office on June 18, 2015 for a same-day implant procedure I have been through a financial battle with my insurance company and have lost complete confidence in my appearance. This Doctor (Imposing to be a Periodontists) has beaten me out $2000.00 dollars out-of-pocket dental work and I still had to seek treatment from a (License Periodontists). After visiting the license Periodontists it was bought to my attention Dr. [redacted] was NOT a license Periodontists and there is no such thing as a same-day implant. Dr. [redacted] terminated my services and verbally assaulted me on August 24, 2015 the day of a normal scheduled appointment. Also, he refused to provide me a refund for the incomplete procedures. It's Doctors like this that destroy people lives for a quick dollar.Desired SettlementI am seeking a full refund of out-of-pocket dental services Southern Dental has charged totaling $1520.50 + A refund of completion of unfinished services Southern Dental left incomplete $460. Grand Total = $1980.50Business Response No where on our website, or any other printed or verbal information is it stated the Dr. [redacted] is a periodontist. We do have a periodontist in our office,a different doctor, but the patient must not have been able to understand that information and misinterpreted that which is clearly stated. We excel at customer service and quality dental care, which is reflected in hundreds of positive reviews. The patient was given a treatment plan for needed services. The complainant, Mr. [redacted], was dismissed as a patient from our practice due to aggressive behavior in the office that resulted in requiring police to be called, and the patient escorted by police from the property. He was told by police not to return. Any insurance claims were justified for services rendered, even though patient tried to claim otherwise, and insurance company confirms that we have complied with any questions, and provided documentation for services rendered. This patient was aggressive toward doctor and staff, disorderly in front of other patients, physically disruptive, threw objects in the operatory, and is not welcome to return. All staff members, including our doctors, remained professional but firm in asking the patient to leave the premises due to his behavior. His erratic behavior was stressful and concerning, but handled appropriately and professionally. We will be happy to provide further information and documentation, if needed.
