Scam finance company
This place works with car dealerships that are willing to scam people! They sold me a car that had a salvage title so my car was worth nothing after I got it from them. The car dealership that sold me the car (freeway auto sales) (333 S Waterman Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92408) is closed permanently. So I went to that same car lot location and it’s the same people that worked there before just has a different name. I asked them to fix the problem they all said we aren’t the same people that worked here before it’s a different company now. I asked southern hills acceptance do they still do business with them they told me I can’t tell you that..I asked do you know where there new location is Alex responded I can’t tell you that you need to find that out yourself that’s not my problem. Do not buy from any car dealerships that use southern hills acceptance they are a car sales scam ring

If you have major problems with this company please take the steps to report them to every agency listed above this needs to stop! This company needs to be deeply investigated and they need to be shut down these illegal practices they are doing are wrong and no one should have to go through this ever again so if you see this review before you get your car DO NOT USE southern hills acceptance!

WARNING, do not ever do business with this company if you can help it! I have had this car for a little over 2 years now and have been making my payments as I am supposed to, I recently traded in my Chevy I have through southern hills for something newer. Three weeks have gone by since I traded the Chevy in and I called them as a courtesy to advise I no longer have the vehicle, well I got a call and email this morning stating I have not had any communication with them regarding my vehicle and that the tow truck was on the way to come pick up the vehicle (what a joke). Again I have advised them where the vehicle is and that the check has been sent to them to payoff the car but they still act like they do not know whats going on so then I advised them if they follow the tracking device they put on the car they will find it at the dealership but they continue to harass you all day 6 days a week. Please I warn you DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY they are extremely rude and do not care what you are going through they are also shady and a bunch of LIARS. I WOULD GIVE NO STARS IF IT WAS POSSIBLE.

Been a loyal, on-time paying customer for almost 2 years straight. Due to Covid, I haven’t been able to make my payment this month. They’ve called my phone 6 days a week starting the day after the due date even with a 10 day grace period, leaving messages with threats of repo and emails with address and grid coordinates of my vehicles location trying to scare me into paying. Which by the way, a GPS was never mentioned by them or the dealer. It’s basically harassment at this point. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They act like Loan shark thugs, threatening repo for payments without you even being a month behind. They have 0 regard for the current pandemic and it’s financial burden on us customers. Theres no way this business is operating lawfully. If it is, it has the absolute WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever encountered. The moment I can get out of this, I’m out and never looking back at this horrible company.

There should be a rating of zero stars for this company I don't have any vehicle loans with any company, This company calls every day and hangs up as soon as I pick up the phone

This company is ridiculous they wont even work with you during the covid pandemic all they want to do is get there money even if your not 30 days past due the threatened u I was even told they dont care about the covid 19 pandemic they got loud with me on the phone and I got loud back moment I did that they threatened with repossession they are very disrespectful and need to be shutdown they switch thru so many mangers it's a disgrace I honestly believe these people get a commission when they get there payments and fly back to mexico cuz that's exactly what they did when the company sold me the car there is not one single person who actually has been in that company for more than 6 months

I do also agree with all other reviews no costumer service here. Will threaten you to receive payment, call people that have no reason to be called about a one time late payment always one time, always answered, never non contact with institution.
I do not appreciate being threatened nor called everyday even agreed on a day to make payment, got very frustrated with person. Please do threaten me again and will come with repercussion from.
Do not use this institution very bad CSR experience, very bad people working for company, they need to reevaluate their employees and the employee handbook!

During this global pandemic covid -19 I have been placed on unemployment still no income coming in and southern hills acceptance is constantly calling me and threatening to take vehicle if I don’t pay bye fri . One month late and they areConstantly calling . The agent known as Mario is constantly calling like I have control of this situation. I will never work with them again . So I believe they are picking up the car sometime soon .thanks a lot your a *** company. Our sweet government will give these *** money too. Just for *** over hard working people.

I just experienced the most shocking Customer Service with a so-called Customer Service Rep named Alex. He behaved like a gang member threatening my life if I didn't do what he wanted. He was rude, bullying, loud and he lied to me. He would not carry a conversation with me. I would walk Alex right out the door and fire him immediately. I would never allow such a person to represent me or my company in any fashion whatsoever!!!

Horrible company to do business, very pushy, rude and unnecessary threats of repo over a 2 day difference to settle the rest of the payment I owe. I paid about half and had to buy a water pump for the car I'm financing through them and needed a couple days to catch up the payment. Alex would not work with me at all threatening to repo the car. He asked if I had a unexpected finance during the month he can help me out. When I told him I did and I had to replace a water pump he called me a liar and I was trying to deceive Southen Hills. I've had the loan for well over a year. Paid on time or early up until the water pump and they want to repo the car. I told him I have the recipe for the pump and labor, from the shop that did the job, but he didnt care to see it. They want to take the car so they can make more money charging me to get it back. Or just keeping the car my money and re selling it. Southen Hills Accptnce is a scam. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! I had no choice, went with what the dealer said, and wish I would have went to a different car dealer and have a different finance company.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE BY FAR. They are consistently rude. For the last year that I have had them, they have been verbally abusive to both me and my co signer. No matter how much respect you give them. I am considering taking legal action due to this. it NEVER gets better no matter how many times you report it. Its degrading. They talk down on you like they walk n water and you should worship them. I cannot wait to refinance and get away from this company.

I mean the people below have said it all for me but truly I as well work for a lender and this company is violating so many funding lender laws I hope one day soon they get audited but I will tell you that idk how this company stay a float if I didn’t care about my credit I truly would crash my damn car into a wall so they have suck the debt up I will be trying to refinance my vehicle to get away from this horrible rude company and hope they don’t go past another year in business and my car is up to date never been late so that tells you somthing HORRIBLE COMPANY and feel sorry for who ever get stuck with them

On Tuesday, 9/26, my wife contacted Southern Hills to setup a post dated debit card payment for 10/11/19. However, the gentleman said since we were just off an extension that payment needed to be made ASAP or we need to make arrangements to surrender the vehicle. The problem I’m having is that the account is just shy of 25 days past due and there could be no way in he*** the car was placed for repossession at just 25 or even 30 days past due. I then asked to speak to his or A manager and he refused to give me one and stated he is the only contact on my account so I’ll have to talk to him. He then proceeded to say, if I hung up and called back, I would just be transferred back to him. So that began the threatening convo.. I told him I needed more time, which brings us to today... just 2 days from our last convo.. he called to ask if payment would be made, etc. The man then asked if I still reside in Tempe AZ, I said yes and then he started threatening my wife by asking why were driving in Scottsdale, Phx, etc when we are living in Tempe supposedly... said also the car does not staying in 1 place, which is a flat out lie.... basically meaning that there is a LoJack on my car... the man, who said he was a manager, refused to provide my wife with his last name, refused his managers name & number. He completely lied to my wife and spoke to her in a hostile manner by threatening to pick up my car... before 30 days past due even... I’ve never been treated in this manner, like ever.... I will be calling there today to speak to Dean M, Mark G, etc... somebody in high authority that I can trust and listen too. I want to also mention, I had gotten a new phone and new # and I’ve updated it thru these is and no one will call me, they only call my wife whose name is not even on the loan! My wife was also a VP for a very, very popular Auto Financing Company so she is very aware what can and can’t be said on the phone.. This highly violates the FDCPA & CFPB laws

Hello as a former customer and having experience with customer service as my job, I do know one thing it’s treating these people like human and trying to work these people because at the end of the day it’s about collecting and customer service etc. Image that you on phone knowing what you know about Collections, recovery, customer service, etc and talking to these “other agent” your telling them about the reasons for the none first payment and no Communication you had wit them, here I am explaining the reasons as due to family emergency’s and experience that was gaping in my life and wasn’t expecting this to all happened mind you I told this person that I had the money for the payment and I just need 10 days for the money to come, I was advised it was too late for me etc. I was very hurt and you that I wasn’t trying to be help, he in told me because it was a first payment it looks very very bad. As I was talking to this individual I started to get get upset and yelled and crying mind you I know these calles do get Recorded and monitored. this person in the department (no names will be listed) he made feel someone who wasn’t a customer and my say didn’t matter there was no working with me.I let’s him know that I would have the money in 10 days give me time and work with me. It still no working with me. It was unBelievable Yes, I went left in right and so he hung up me. Undsrable but have rules and you get trained to and policy and Protocol and by when on handing a customer and it’s not by hanging up. At this point it’s a week in and it’s Tuesday at this point I have these agents looking for my vehicle and tell me I need to give up the vehicle or call the bank. He Let me know that he didn’t really want the car he wants me to keep. I calld the bank and telling I have the money as telling for the payment as they requested at one point I spoke to a lady who told me one amount and than talking over me and not letting me speak! At another point I talk to someone else and they another amount to pay, I said yes to all options I always did advice them I have to take the money out of this into a debit card and give me a min or an hour to get this together or less. I told them if the people who wanted the car want to go with me or drive me fine but I’m ready to give you payment. At this point the agent on the phone made it seem to me like everything was gonna good and he was going to take the money and we was going to get back to business “the money” and tells me he wants to talk to the agent for the car, and than as they talking he hang up, my face was just like confused. The agent informed me to take my car, I was upset and crying In tears at this point, I had spoken to the dealer about my issues and said the bank didn’t want to do business but I told what happened and he said he would try to get there So called “VP” and he would let me know. The Delar texts me and tells me that they want my employer Information etc so I give them that. They wanted my employer to verify employment. I called the bank and tell his person what’s going on and apologize for my Behavior that it was unacceptable. That I took full responsibility for my acts and this account and let him know I had what my employers told them an Acceptance letter I send it via email and also an email saying what time date congratulations etc so at this point I was a week into my job and always getting paid a week check let them know friday or Monday all they need was for them to say I work there or hireable or not. So I was just like what if? Thought and he said it will be okay and we hung up and I waited the next day and the dealer says they couldn’t verify employment. Need less to say at That I was giving a second chance and then willing to work with me and give them there payment and keep the car to get to work and get places. I had everything they asked from me payment, work verification as pay stub, I had it all and they still told me no after I was asked for it. Keep in mind I know what it’s like to to have upset customer or angry customer but there are way to deal with them and at the end of day this a business and when a customer is will to the steps and process and over the edge just to prove a point to you with actions and give you what you asked for me! You try and work something out and do what it takes to keep this company in a good name or have good customer, and work with them. So in the end I didn’t get what I was hoping after I was told they would work with me no they don’t want my money or anything with me after they asked me for it and I had it. Need to say I’m without my car because people like this company like to tell you one thing and go back on it and you feel like a complete fool! Bad customer service not very trurtful to there word either.. crazy

Horrible customer service! I spoke to a women named Claudia. She was so rude and unprofessional. I was trying to explain why my car payment didn’t go through. She rudely told me why would you set automatic payment if you don’t have money. I felt so disrespected. I tried to explain that I was on my way to pay via money gram. She rudely told me where was my car at the moment because it was going to get repo’d. She told me I had 20 mins to get the payment done or she was going to have my car picked up. I felt harassed. I can’t believe she gets paid to speak to people like this.

Very Rude and unprofessional Company! I still currently have a fairly new Loan open with them in which they call my phone at least 3 Times a day rather I have late Payment or not! Representative Martin is very insulting & harassing to people as if we buyers are his Prisoners. I will be reaching out to A Manager soon!

I am fairly new to this company. I had a family emergency come up and was without a phone. The lady there Claudia was extremely rude to me on phone. Said I cant just pay whenever I want. Which was not the case I just barely got back in town drove all night from a hospital. she has no compassion what so ever I dont appreciate that considering I am new to them and they have had no issue with me in the past.

I am a 100% disabled Veteran on a fixed income. On June 1st my Truck broke down while out of town (making not fixing it not an option) I contacted Southern Hills Acceptance about getting a deferment because it was a big hit to my budget. They said that it was being approved, have the email, and just catch up when we can. Great. But then the July statement came and said I was behind and there was a late fee. I emailed them again and I have their response that everything was fine. Today I received a call that the whole amount was due Today “or else”. This is no way to treat disabled veterans or run a business. Now they are unwilling to work with me at all.

Upon buying the 2008 Nissan Armada in early January, I never received any type of paperwork in reference to the finance company at all.. all I receive from the car lot with a bill of sale paperwork and tag title papers from the dealer no itemized payment schedule terms and conditions or anything from Southern Hills acceptance a week later when I went into the car lot of U-Park We sell in Mesa,AZ to get a item fix items that was promised to be repaired they advised me that they finance company pulled the finance and they were retaining the vehicle...no call no prior advice nothing...they also advised that they had GPS on the car and the finance company had issues that I wasn't staying at the address listed for the past week since I brought the car. I Also advised them they didn't disclose GPS tracking during sale and I didn't sign off on that... I had to get a uber home and they kept the car for 10 days. When the finance company did approve the finance I asked them about having a re-date and they said they did not have to redo any paperwork or anything so that's when I contacted Frank at Southern Hills and was questioning about my due date and was rudely told that my due date had to stay the same how they weren't bound to give me any type of paperwork including terms and conditions only what the car lot gave me was required which led to a very heated debate in which I had to advise mr. Frank Velasquez that I wouldn't be spoken to in a rude and obnoxious manner. The argument ended with him hanging up on me when I told him just forget everything I'll pay what I need to pay to keep my car from being repossessed and he hung up on me without taking payment I had to call immediately back to give him my payment. They then advised I had a 10-day grace period before I'm obsessed a late payment fee, so that would technically offset anything if I anyting if I needed extra time and I was good as long as I was not 30 days late.
So skip to June, I made a partial payment payment on 6/12 /2018 for 246.00 to cover May payment leaving a balance of $132.00. June payment was late as of 6/18/2018 car was repossessed on 6/22 leaving me a whopping 34 days late on $132.00 the call recorded was the evening of the 6/28/2018 after repeated calls to pay to get the truck back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=noZQMYxBCJ8

Note: there was no time where I would duck and dodge the calls so there was no reason to believe I would bolt with the truck, besides they had GPS too?

On July 2 2018 I made a call to Southern Hills and was advised that they returned the truck to U park we sell dealership.
I then contacted U-Park we sell used cars and was shook down by Richard the owner... he said maybe he can refinance the car with another lender with $3,000 down on the same car he repossessed.. I told him I didn't think that sounded correctly to be responsible for a repossession I may have to pay back and have to get another loan on the same car.

My experience with southern hills acceptance was absolutely horrible every conversation I’ve had with them was completely disrespectful And lacked professionalism. There “manager” called me and as soon as I answered the phone he had a horrible attitude , insulting me being very short and not helpful at all and he Has a complete lack of understanding how to treat customers. I was a loyal customer if there’s for over a year traded my car in and got the car out of my name and he called me saying that I still owe payments on the car which is not true according to the paperwork I signed. The company will try and suck whatever amount of money they can out of and while doing so being offensive and disrespectful. No matter what you do stay away from this company they will only miss treat you. And especially stay away from there manager he was completely disrespectful.

The way they talk to customers is very flat out disrespectful. I have had many document issues with the same issues. I have request for them to even review calls because they speak to people very condescending and they will flat out accuse you of lying. I added AUTHORIZED 3rd part to my account because I work long hours. I sent and signed docs so she could speak to them. They accused her of fraud, and Grilled her relation to myself and why she calls in instead of myself. BEFORE I added her to the acc they disclosed Acc info to her as well which would be a direct FDCPA violation. I have recorded calls that show proof that they lie, are very rude and even childish when questions.
I asked them to remove a number from the acc and they didn't. I have asked to speak to a manger when a rep is disrespectful and they place you on hold for 20+ mins and HANG UP that happens a few times untill they tell u all the mangers are in a meeting.
furthermore I i records showing the call 2x in 3 mins. and then again every 2 hours.
