In his first response he put that he contacted us on 7/5/now he says he had to go to the hospital and so he wasn't able to call us for close to a monthWhich one is it? He said he had to wait until he got out of the hospital to call usWell he wasn't even the one who called usThe owner of the truck called us and brought it to us not the brotherWhen he left my shop the truck was running with the A/C on with windows upWe started the truck and showed him that his fan clutch was not working like it should be and that he would need to change it out soonHe said he would do thatIf he can change the fan clutch then he could definitely change the A/C hose or he could take it to someone or we would have changed it but not for free like he wantsWhat we would do for free is charge the A/C We will not replace a rotted out A/C line for freeNo shop in town would it is a year old hose that is rotted out This guy just wants something for free and if the brother had years experience in automotive then he himself would know a year old A/C line is rotted out and had nothing to do with usyears under a hood with super hot temps hoses go bad the heat kills them especially when you overheat and engine as bad as he didSo what's next when his fuel pump goes out it will be our fault cause it worked before we did the engine? Needless to say when he left the A/C worked he left with the windows up he checked the truck out very thoroughly before he left made sure everything was workingIf the A/C was not working then he would have told us right away not wait a monthAnd my mechanics always test drive with windows down so they can listen to the engineIf windows up you cannot hear the engine and yes they have the AC on just like the customer drove away with the A/C onWe will not replace his year old hose for free we tried to help him but he wants for free and that will not happenHis A/C stopped working on the the day he called us he gives two different story's in his first complaint he says he called us on 7/which he didn't then again on 7/in his response he says he didn't call until after he was out of the hospital cause he didn't want the owner of the truck to call us well the owner of the truck is who called us and brought it to usSo if the owner of the truck called us and brought it to us then why would he wait until the brother got out of the hospital when the brother had nothing to do with it

Tell us why here...First off we were not paid up front His engine was installed within the week and he paid and picked up his carWe received payment after finishing engine and installing itWe replaced the engine not the car around it He had other problems then the engineThe parts he needed were not available anywhere which had nothing to do with engineThis customer is an awesome customer but sometimes people think that because we are a shop that we can find parts no matter what Well if no one makes the parts anymore there is nothing we can do except what until they become available Which in his car we finally found the parts he needed and his car was finished and he has his car running great I also invited him to locate the parts he needed As we told him we are trying to locate his parts that had nothing to do with our original job We care about all our customers but sometimes things are out of our hand We are an honest company that does all we can for customers that is why all our customers have the owners personal cell number which he answers 24/so he can help anytime

Hello, We have not received any emails from Mr***. Either he is sending to wrong email address or it is going into spam mail which gets deleted. To any customer if you don't get a response thru emails then call as a lot of emails goes into spamCompany’s get hundreds of spam
mail a day so they are automatically deleted. We do have a day warranty on oil leaksOil pans, timing covers, valve covers exhaust manifolds are the original customer partsAs over the years they crack, warp or get hit by somethingMany miles and years of heat or a lot of the time people loosen bolts them self either for replacing something or adding something. At time of installation we do check all components. We also use good gaskets the best on the market. We also offered him to do the work at our cost of the parts. As he knows his timing cover is his original partWe were not looking to make anything off of his work

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
First of all when we picked up the truck on 7/3/2015 they had called me and left me a message saying it needed a radiator at which time I called them back an authorized it and they said it would be $200.00 dollars and that time I had no idea they had also called my brother who in turn left them 2 messages and had cussed them out . When we arrived there they were still working on the truck and [redacted] showed me the radiator and I agreed it was bad . When my brother arrive he and [redacted] began yelled started hollering and [redacted] pounded his desk and was angry at my brother . They apologized to each other an the 2 mechanics left in his truck with the windows down and test drove his truck for 10 minutes returned and we paid the bill and began to leave with me driving my brothers truck to check out the repairs . I rolled up the windows and turned on the air after we got to 67th Ave and the compressor never came on and hot air is all I had . I had to roll the windows down and we went home . I had to go to the hospital and my brother checked his truck and found that his a/c line was damaged . The reason it took so long to contact them was because I told him I would call them because they did not want to talk to him anymore . When he brought the truck in they saw the line was damaged and [redacted] told him he could take the line off and have it repaired and re-install it . My brother does not have the mechanical ability I do because I have 40 Years experience in the automotive industry and he was told the line was rotten . Now why would you have some one with no experience or tools take off a rotten line and have it repaired and re-install it ? When the line was good and the air was working great before the engine was replaced ! As for the claim of filling a false claim that's just not true !

To start we finished his truck 7/3/15 on 7/3/15 around 2 or 3 we called customer to let him know he need a radiator no answer so we left a message. Message saying the radiator was full of sludge and that he needed a new one cost $200 so you know we are not even marking up the cost at all so we...

ordered a new one as no way we will install his old one as it probably was part of the reason his original engine overheated. While we were installing new radiator we received two 5 min messages with him cussing us out saying we are trying to rip him off by buying new radiator he says there is nothing wrong with his radiator and do not put a new one in. Well at $200 we are not ripping anyone off as we are not making nothing from it. When he got here we showed him the radiator and he agreed he needed a new one for him having to wait around while we finished it. It does take time to get radiator and install radiator and also fix other things wrong with his truck that had nothing to do with our work. ( 20 + year old truck).  We also discovered his fan clutch was not working correctly and advised him to have it replaced he said he would.  We drove his truck 20 - 30 miles after completeling the work the AC worked great. When he left the AC worked great.  We did not hear from him again until Friday 7/24/15 he told us his AC quit working so we said bring it in let us look at it.  He brought it in on Monday 7/27/15 we looked at it seen a split in the hose. Told him he needed a new hose ( 20 year old hose ) the rott and dry out form the inside out just like a tire over years.  We did not damage his hose as it worked fine for three weeks after we did the work. We had nothing to do with his AC hose going bad ( 20 year old hose split from age ) after he left our shop 7/27/15 he called left another 5 min message on how we had better fix his AC and give him a rental car.Well after that we talked to him and asked him so when you left 7/3/15 your AC was working fine he said yes and that it has been working fine till now 3 weeks later 7/24/15 he said yes.  I said well its a 20 + year old hose as the rest of his truck is 20 + years old parts are bound to go out had nothing to do with us.  I told him a place that would fix his hose for under $50 and then bring it back to us and we would charge his AC back for him (A $75 value ) For free.  As we always try to help out our customers. Well that deal is now off the table for trying to take advantage of us. I also can't believe the Revdex.com would allow someone to file a phony complaint like this. We didn't do anything to his hose so we are not responsible for it.

Tell us why here...First off we were not paid up
front.  His engine was installed within the week and he paid and picked up
his car. We received payment after finishing engine and installing it. We
replaced the engine not the car around it.  He had other problems then the
engine. The...

parts he needed were not available anywhere which had nothing to do
with engine. This customer is an awesome customer but sometimes people think
that because we are a shop that we can find parts no matter what.  Well if
no one makes the parts anymore there is nothing we can do except what until
they become available.  Which in his car we finally found the parts he
needed and his car was finished and he has his car running great.  I also
invited him to locate the parts he needed.  As we told him we are trying
to locate his parts that had nothing to do with our original job.  We care
about all our customers but sometimes things are out of our hand.  We are
an honest company that does all we can for customers that is why all our
customers have the owners personal cell number which he answers 24/7 so he can
help anytime.

In his first response he put that he contacted us on 7/5/15 now he says he had to go to the hospital and so he wasn't able to call us for close to a month. Which one is it?  He said he had to wait until he got out of the hospital to call us. Well he wasn't even the one who called us. The owner of the truck called us and brought it to us not the brother. When he left my shop the truck was running with the A/C on with windows up. We started the truck and showed him that his fan clutch was not working like it should be and that he would need to change it out soon. He said he would do that. If he can change the fan clutch then he could definitely change the A/C hose or he could take it to someone or we would have changed it but not for free like he wants. What we would do for free is charge the A/C.  We will not replace a rotted out A/C line for free. No shop in town would it is a 20 year old hose that is rotted out.  This guy just wants something for free and if the brother had 40 years experience in automotive then he himself would know a 20 year old A/C line is rotted out and had nothing to do with us. 20 years under a hood with super hot temps hoses go bad the heat kills them especially when you overheat and engine as bad as he did. So what's next when his fuel pump goes out it will be our fault cause it worked before we did the engine? Needless to say when he left the A/C worked he left with the windows up he checked the truck out very thoroughly before he left made sure everything was working. If the A/C was not working then he would have told us right away not wait a month. And my mechanics always test drive with windows down so they can listen to the engine. If windows up you cannot hear the engine and yes they have the AC on just like the customer drove away with the A/C on. We will not replace his 20 year old hose for free we tried to help him but he wants for free and that will not happen. His A/C stopped working on the 24 the day he called us  he gives two different story's in his first complaint he says he called us on 7/5 which he didn't then again on 7/24 in his response he says he didn't call until after he was out of the hospital cause he didn't want the owner of the truck to call us well the owner of the truck is who called us and brought it to us. So if the owner of the truck called us and brought it to us then why would he wait until the brother got out of the hospital when the brother had nothing to do with it.

Dear Revdex.com 1). I had made several attempts to contact Engine Builders both by e-mail.  See Below E-Mail Records:  Further I verified their e-mail address by calling them and verifying their e-mail address as listed on their warranty sheet. (SEE ATTACHED)2). The (SEE ATTACHED PDF WARRANTY) provided by Engine Builders at the time I contracted the work to be completed does not exclude their gaskets from the 2 year / 24,000 mile warranty.  I qualify under both of these as there is less than 11K miles on the truck and it is under 2 years.    I have noted two leaks in the motor.  One is an oil leak and the other a header exhaust leak.  Neither of these should have occurred and should be warranted as stated in the attached Engine Builders PDF warranty as neither are listed as a possible exclusion.  My position on this is that Engine Builders should correct this under the warranty. Thank you, [redacted]
