All work was finished on Sat. the 17th. Do to a sharp down grade on the side of his home one gate couldn't be used. A credit to his charge card for the gate was given on Monday the 19th. Three issues came up that was beyond our control 1. Material from supplier was... delayed until the afternoon of Oct. 4 then on unloading the material found they sent the wrong quantity of post were sent. 2. Ground loaded with rocks and extremely hard soil a lot of hand digging and pry bar work to clear holes. 3. Concrete was used and had to wait over night to hang gates. Homeowners thought this would be done in one day and couldn't understand why it took two and half days

I am rejecting this response because: It is not accurate.All work was finished on Monthe 19th. Do to a sharp down grade on the side of his home, one gate couldn't be used although the business owner was on site to measure and draw the plan before supply order and construction, that we reviewed and signed. A credit to the charge card for the gate was given on Monday the 19th, that we are waiting to see this transaction was completed. Three issues came up that was beyond our control Material from supplier was delayed until the afternoon of Octthen on unloading the material found the wrong quantity of post were sent, but the homeowners were still not notified of changes in project duration Ground loaded with rocks and extremely hard soil a lot of hand digging and pry bar work to clear holes. Concrete was used and had to wait over night to hang only the one gate that was removed, due to an unauthorized plan change by contractor.The homeowners placed a call to Robert H*** on they week of Oct11th since we had not heard from him since Sept 30th, when the down payment was madeHe stated the project would be started on the current Wednesday and finished up the next day on Thursday, this is why, with his poor communication, we couldn't understand why it took and half daysWe planned according to what we were told by the owner, period

board she did not like it was changed no questions askedMyemployee did care and wanted to be sure she was satisfiedStandard fence grade lumber is 1x6xhere she is confused is I quoted using 1x6xTeated and Iquoted using 1x6xCedar that difference was $The design she wanted us to copy waswithout a middle stingerI told her the treated would warp or bowThe boards that my supplier dropped of where the wrong boardsThe boards left by my supplierwere kiln dried full inch cedar boards designed to be uses on the outside of a homeSuch aswindow framing exceteraNot for fence buildingOur employee informed her she could walk up and down the street and see this is what everyfence company is usingShe refuses to believe this and feels she was cheatedThis employee has built over Monticello fences so this is a statement on her part,The transition from garage to neighbors fence is approxfeet the post are 6xby the time thepost are set and gate made wide enough to get trash barrels through there's no room leftThe post that the gate is hanging off of is a 6xand will hold the gate without any problemsWhen my employees were ready to build the gate she came out and was given options on howwe could build the gate Arches 2, Concaved 3, Match Fence she made the choice to Arch itI have offered to replace the gate and hardware for her at no additional charge plus I wouldextend workmanship warranty additional yearsBefore leaving site my installer asked her if there was any additional adjustments need made andwas told that everything was fineHours later I ran the card she provided for me,Days later she calls all angry about the boards and how I cheated her and now doesn't like thegate or the latchWants all the boards ripped off and the full inch put onAs I stated before Isaid I would change the gate out and put a different latch and I would extend her workmanshipwarranty to five yearsIf I was trying to cut corners why then why would I change the 1xCedar Top Cap with 2x6Cedar Top Cap and additional $dollars that I didn't charge her because I knew it wouldhold up longerAs of this morning $was removed from my bank account by her credit card company areversal of fundsSo at this time she has a free fenceShe has been telling her neighbors that I use illegal immigrants, inferior wood, poor workmanshipand in general making slandering statementsCurrently I have lost two jobs that I know ofbecause the homeowners called and told me after talking to her they no longer wanted to dobusinessHow many additional jobs I'll never know.Warm regards,Robert H***

MrH*** implies that he is a reputable business owner. If that is the case, I would truly like to know why, out of all his alleged "satisfied" customers, he chose to defraud and attempt to intimidate me. Is it because I am a senior citizen (years) or is it because I am a single woman that he thinks he can continue to lie and get away with it.MrH*** continues to try to muddy the waters.1. I never authorized him to charge my credit card for the final payment.2. I never told anyone I was satisfied with the fence -- quite the reverse.3. He promised to make several corrections (July 14). No one has ever shown up.The fence is not what I contracted for and MrH*** knows it is not (the boards are wrong), the gate is completely wrong and the fence posts are wrong. You can see the specifics of my complaint in earlier correspondences.MrH*** insisted that I use the thicker boards (NOT THE "STANDARD" CHEAP 5/8" BOARDS HE KEEPS REFERRING TO) to avoid warping and bowing since the style of fence I wanted did not have a middle runner. I AGREED TO PAY THE ADDITIONAL AMOUNT FOR THE QUALITY BOARDS. Instead of getting what I contracted for, MrH*** substituted the cheap 5/8" boards from Menards, possibly because the truck had not yet arrived from Canada, just as he impatiently told me four days earlier (see my original complaint), and he did not have the quality boards he planned to use. Menards may have told MrH*** they had the 1" boards, but delivered the wrong material. MrH***'s "employees" had already ripped out my old fence and did not have the proper material to construct my new fence. That is when MrH*** decided to make the substitution I suspect that MrH*** has been trying to cover up this mistake ever since. He likely thought that since I am an old woman, I would not notice the substitution. I could have sympathized with his difficulties if I am right about the circumstances, but he never once attempted to apologize or explain what he was up against. His original and subsequent mistakes and misjudgments are no longer my concern now. The warping and bowing MrH*** warned me against if I used the 5/8" boards has already started to occur to my 2-month old fence. I dread to think what the fence will look like in a year.Against my better judgment, I offered to accept a reasonable price adjustment which would cover the boards, the gate and the fence posts. That offer has not been forthcoming.The complaint stands and if MrH*** wants $1,400, he needs to replace the boards with the ones agreed to, rebuild the gate, and correct the fence posts, including paying for any damaged caps. I offered to take a price adjustment, but since MrH*** continues to lie, I WANT THE FENCE I CONTRACTED FOR
