My parents bought a reclining sofa and two recliners made by Southern Motion The bonded leather on the sofa is flaking and peeling off after only four years PIECE OF JUNK Do not buy from this company For the price paid it should last AT LEAST years I have a leather recliner from Lazy boy...it is years old and still looks great and works perfectly My recommendation is go with Lazy Boy

If the retailer is still open and active we ask that all claims, whether in warranty or not, be run thru themPlease contact the retailer and ask them to contact Southern Motion so that, if possible, the proper warranty procedures can be followed

Please have the consumer to send the pictures to me and we will look at them ourselves According to the email thread the pictures is what is needed, Send the pictures to my email address

Me and my husband bought a southern motion sectional in Feb within that year the couch needed repairedafter that year that motor in one section broke, and all the stuffing from the leg rests is falling outone day in my sons foot got stuck in the leg rest area and it was brokenplease tell me how this is safe knowing that someone can get hurt because of how poorly this $couch is made? fast forward to today, the couch that is just over years old is falling apartI do not have the money to have this couch fixed over and over againit's a complete piece of garbage and no one from the retail store or manufacture are trying to help fix the problemsI would never recommend this product to anyone

This claim is being reviewed with the store manager/owner and our sales rep who have discussed this previouslyOnce the report is sent in from them a final determination will be madeThanks [redacted]

Great product at a great price! I'm a stay-at-home mom of a yr oldI'm up & down from the couch all day longAnd my toddler has learned to push the reclining button...over and over and over againWe have not had any problems whatsoever, with the mechanics or leatherExcellent experience!

There is a new console [redacted] on order number [redacted] production date est9-26- Dealer is waiting on pictures of the [redacted] and has been waiting since 6-

Purchased on 4/1/delivered I believe towards end of april.Purchased at [redacted] identical couches manufactured by southern motion.total of sale was 2,to my credit card just for couches.Started to peel within months ,peeling on out of seats and arm is loose,mechanism on one of the couches is bumping.There have been numerous negative reviews on the their products with same issues .Why they continue to sell these faulty products to consumers with no respoiblity is unfair .If they wanted to they have the capacity to work with ** to refund my money for this faulty product that will only do again after repair.I am beside myself with the money I have put out on this JUNK .Suprise being a repeat customer over years that jv has not helped me with this issue

Please have the customer to contact the store again I do not show any parts on order andanything that can be done has to be directed through the store

The store the consumer purchased their furniture from was not disclosed in the statement.Please have the consumer to contact the retailer and have them to call Southern Motion.We will gladly review this with the retailer for all details

The furniture should be repaired to meet Southern Motion standards.The wedge is on order and should be shipped soon

As previously stated, the customers warranty has expired with the exception of frame parts that can be sent to [redacted] Furniture in [redacted] , [redacted] for customer to pick up if ordered through the retailer.Refund for cost of furniture or replacement is denied

I purchased a sofa, loveseat & a rocker/recliner manufactured by Southern Motion which is supposedly their top leatherAll pieces have issues, such as frayed stitching, stitching that's coming out, nicked/scratched leather, foot rest doesn't stay up completely on sofa, crooked stitching & according to them it's within their guidelinesAfter a battle with [redacted] 's (where the set was purchased) the first set was being replacedThe second set arrived, all pieces damaged-leather gone on loveseat back down to a white material, another spot on loveseat top of leather gone, stitching coming out of rocker/recliner armrest & spot on sofa looked as if leather was burntAfter speaking with customer service, it's apparent that they don't truly care about the customer & there is no quality control or the quality control people don't care!! I have pictures showing the poor quality of the furniture

Good morning Linda, This is the first we have heard about this complaintShe will have to go back through the retailer she purchased the furniture from and have her retailer get in contact with us Any and all issues will be handled through Southern Motion and [redacted] The consumer stated that she had personal friends that their furniture was replaced, and she is requesting her to be replaced as well Each consumers complaint is handled depending on the date of purchase, and can't be compared to another persons issue When they contact the store, the information that I will need is serial numbers, copy of the sales receipt, date of purchase, and pictures Without this completed information, there is nothing that Southern Motion can doThanks for your help

Southern Motion warranty is year from date of purchase for parts and labor We do know the style number is [redacted] , and [redacted] but we do not know the cover number Without the cover number, I don't know whether we are dealing with, whether it is bonded leather or actually leather Their complaint that the underside of the furniture is not "finished" to their specifications of what they think is except-able, note this is motion furniture and not stationary furniture All parts underneath the motion furniture has to be able to move back and forth and a full cover is not possible for motion furniture According to the email they purchased this in 1/and the problem starting occurring in 8/15/2012, why would they wait more years before complaining? Please see below from [redacted] , the retailer involved: I CALLED CUST BACK TO ADVISE THE SEAT CORES CAN BE ORDERED AND ADVISED MS SHE ONLY HAS A 1 YR WARRANTY ON THE SVC ... CUST SAID THE SEAT CORES HAVE ALREADY BEEN ORDERED?? ... AFTER FURTHER CHECKING [redacted] ORDERED THE SEAT CORE ON [redacted] PART ORDERS [redacted] , [redacted] AND [redacted] ...THE PARTS ARE HERE ALREADY! ...I CALLED CUST BACK TO ADVISE ... THERE WAS NOT ANSWER .. SO I LEFT A MESSAGE ON THE MACHINE ... This should settle the issue?
