Southern Oregon Driver Education Inc Reviews (4)

As the Administrator of Southern Oregon Driver Education, Inc., I have only received two phone call mesages from the complainant during the session (beginning Monday, July - Tuesday, August 16th) which I answered within hours of receiving the call If he had called like he alleges, he never left a message on our answering machine except for two occasions Due to the high volume of calls that we receive for lessons and currently 3rd party DMV drive tests, I cannot reach all calls that come into the office Therefore, I would expect the customer to leave a message (especially if the were dissatisfied) if they would like a response from me or anyone of our instructors The first call was, as mentioned before, on July 25th when he asked for a full refund because "he was not learning much." I replied within hours to that request responding that we would not be able to refund him his money since he had continue to attend class past the 2nd day of class like noted on our previous response and as stated on our website During that conversation, he mentioned that there was "family stuff" going on However, he agreed that he would continue to attend class
The second message that I received was the day of his final drive assessment (August 16th at 3:03pm) when he failed his final drive assessment He left a message demanding that I contact him within the hour or he would be contacting lawyers, the Revdex.com and "I will be damaging your business reputation in whatever capacity I can." I would be happy to provide the voice message if the Revdex.com would like to contact me dirctly via phone I complied and mentioned that we could provide another instructor and reassess him At no point during the conversation did I say that we would charge him for a reassessment I am not sure why the complainant continues to allege that we are a scam trying to get more money from people Although it is mentioned that if a student fails a reassessment we may provide another lesson at an additional charge, we have never charged for another assessment At the time of my discussion with the complainant, I was not aware of the verbal altercation after his assessment
In regards to "swapping out cars so student would fail" allegation: It is never our intention to make it difficult for a student to pass their assessment None of the reasons that the complainant had failed were due to the use of a different vehicle On at leas one occasion, he began moving into another lane without making sure there was enough room between him and the other vehicle The risky maneuver which resulted in a fail had nothin to do with using a different vehicle than he was used to using in the past Although he is complaining that he was assessed in a different vehicle, all of our driver education vehicles are either Ford Fusions or a Mercury Milan which is the same body style as the Ford Fusion

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:Innacurrate accounting of events Business fails to mention tepeated attempts to cintact them to rememdy the situation, and their refusal to do anything reasonable to remedy the situationThey also scam cystomers by swapping out drive cars on the final drive so they may fail students and have thwm pay more to come back and take more clssesInstructot madr racist jokes, endangered students, was rude condescending, nevee on time, etc.Sincerely,*** ***

The customer completed 30+ hours of classroom and hours in the car The agreement when he registered online at our site: www.sodrivered.org was that if he wanted a refund he would need to request after the first class See our Refund Policies
on http://www.sodrivered.org/admissionsregistration.html.
The customer was completing his 6th and final drive while being assessed on his skill level If he had passed the final assessment he would have received a certificate from our company stating that he had successfully completed the course We also offer a 3rd Party DMV Drive Test for adults taking our course for long as we are part of a DMV pilot program However, during his assessment there were several occasions where he demonstrated manuevers that were either not legal or unsafe We have the entire drive recorded with our camera which is placed just below the rearview mirror and provides information such as speed, location, a view inside of the vehicle and a view outside of the vehicle On occcasions the instructor grabbed the wheel due to the customer moving into a lane without sufficient room to move I
During any situation when a customer fails the drive assessment, we reschedule another assessment after the student has sufficient enough time to practice Although it is stated that we can charge for another reassessment, we have never charged a student to re-test
At the end of the drive assessment the customer was informed that he failed the drive assessment He began to verbally assault the instructor At that time, we had provided all the services that we had promised him and decided that we would not provide any other assessment to him due to his previous actions with his instructor

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:Innacurate account of eventsBusuness repeatedly lied and privided information.Sincerely,*** ***
