Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because:They changed the invoice amount without notifying meThey failed to complete the job in a timely factor because they only have one person in their company..I mean off the street to complete the job
Regards,
** ***

First off sub contractors of southern construction tried to replace the bottom ft of builders board [with no regard for the ft above that or the plastic sheeting that protected the bottom feet.]...But due to the crew quitting mid way thru replacing the board it was not finished or done properlyOh ya that's right maybe you should check on your workers every now and thenNext there was no regard for our concerns while mold and water damage was exposedThe lead on this job (Tommy) just kept telling me it will go away after they close the wall inMold cant grow in the dark I was toldI was told many new constructions are rained on and no problem.REALLY? well how about a contractor knowing that sheet rock/builders board is not suppose to get wet because it deteriorates and is porous leading to MOLDWe brought in a outside source to check the mold to be fairYour warrantee expresses it will not cover anything outside of the original scope of workAlso Southern Construction has been holding the check for 36k+ this whole time while demanding that we pay themThey even threatened with collections while the check is in their possession. WOW just wowThey know the process for proceeding and refuse to do soI have spoken with the Bank and my insurance company who confirm southern has and has had the checkAnd I have emails from Tyler confirming he had the check while proceeding with these Illegal collection practicesAnd last of all " Im afraid my insurance will go up if I use it for what it was intended " is no excuse for what you have done and are putting us through. I would like a full itemized bill from Southern Construction alsoThat should have been step 1. *** ***

Southern construction refuses to accept responsibility for their actions in damaging my home. There is Visible mold. The test showed 6 types of mold and was not an indoor air test  it was a mold culture test taken from visible mold.. I am working on obtaining statements from the subs that worked here and were told to cover it up. I also have statements from people that saw my home during the  weeks that the roof was off when it stormed and flooded. and after the damage . Including neighbors and the mail man. Southern construction wants to perform their own mold test  , that is unacceptable as they covered it up instead of addressing the issue. And yes I took hundreds of pictures documenting the progress. I have been made aware that This company had illegals, felons and people working under other individuals SSN#s. I will be seeking advice from the states attorney as to if criminal charges are warranted. I have also filed complaints with ICE,  labor board and  the IRS. I will be contacting the inspector general today.I will not be bullied by this company .

We are part of the IPN network. We were contracted by ** to do the repairs this is true.  We were delayed on starting the job because of one breakdown and one wreck with our subcontractors vehicle.  But ** is not telling the whole story.  We had him scheduled up to start...

laying the flooring but he insisted on being there the entire time, so we had to try and reschedule the repairs because they had to go out of town.  For some reason he thought he was getting the entire job done for his deductible and the change order money.  He thought he got to keep all the insurance money for himself.   I told him that it is impossible for him to do that and that he would have to give us the insurance money also.  That's when he asked for a refund.  I spoke with the insurance company and let them know what was going on and that we already delivered the flooring that they had picked out.  Insurance company told me to just bill them for the material that we had already spent.  Which was about $1500.  I was trying to please them so I told them that they would only have to pay for two delivery fees of $150 each.  Because it cost money to pick up material and drop off.  MR. ** called and asked if he could bring it to my warehouse would that save him some money.  I told him that if he did so I would take off one of the delivery fees. (which I did).   It cost me a lot more than $150 to go to the store and purchase the product and deliver it.  Then have to reload it back up and take it back.I could have just billed him the amount and been done with it.  I was trying to do him better than that.

It is very hard to resolve a dispute from someone who is unwilling to even talk about it with me. Yesthere test showed 6 different types of mold, but they are all commonly found mold spores in everyhouse and at low levels.First and foremost we never have told anyone to cover up mold. We have a (5) five year workmanshipwarranty. It would not be in our best interest to do so. We also replace builder board 2 foot up to esasetheir concerns when this first happened. It is Southern Reconstruction Group desire to make sure that everyone has a piece of mind that thehouse is safe. Thls is why I am requesting a full comprehensive mold test run. The [redacted]s can evenpick the company. We are not trying to skirt any responiblity. If there are unsafe levels of bacteriagrowth in the house, we will stand behind our warranty and pay for it. But there must be proof. Thls iswhy I am asking for the complete testing. It does us no good to keep going back and forth on this. It wi.ll only lead into legal action. If we do thetest, it will resolve any issues, one way or the other. We are in no way trying to bully anyone. We are however trying to get a resolution to this situation. Iam trying to give them a total piece of mind about their condition of their house. If they are soconcerned ahout this issue, they would run a complete test.
