Review: I made a purchase in the Lynchburg location. My debit card was charged twice for the purchase. The amount was $32.85. Date was 10/28/13. I called them and gave my card info over phone to someone. No correction. I went there, and they told me to contact Roanoke office to get it corrected. They gave me the phone number: ###-###-####. I called them and a woman said she would tell finance, and would call me back. She called me back a week later checking on it, I said they have not corrected it. I emailed [redacted], from their website, twice, and didn't get any response. I have my receipt, and my banking statements showing I was charged twice. They admitted they were having some problems with this, but no one resolved my issue.Desired Settlement: They can credit my debit card, or send me a check for $32.85.

We take full responsibility for the mishap. As stated we have been going through some network changes over the past 6 months and the week of October 28th, 2013 we were at the process of changing our credit card software on our network. We had issues with the software on and off that week and many customers were doubled changed. We worked diligently that week to correct the mistake and credit back those customers that were double charged. We thought all our customers were taken care of until we heard from this complaint. A check was written to this customer and put in the mail on 12/4/2013. We also have sent this customer an email that was provided to notify him of the check. In regards to not responding to the customer's email our website has also been going through changes with this network upgrade. Our website has been up and down for maintenance the last month or so. Even though the website was up and the customer was able to email to our accounts receivable it may not have gone through. This is also the first we have heard about this and are current having our IT department look into the issue. We apologize for the customer's inconvenience, but we hope this will resolve the issue. Thank you

Review: I purchased an ** heater/air conditioner from Southern Refrigeration, ordered 8/30/13, delivered 9/6/13. The unit was a ptac unit ([redacted]). From the day it was installed, this unit did not work properly. Southern Refrigeration told me that it was my responsibilty to deal directly with ** customer service to get the unit repaired. After much discussion which involved telephone calls and email to ** and Southern Refrigeration, I decided to proceed with allowing ** to repair the unit. Despite 2 attempts and many hours of service people at my residence, they were unsuccessful in the repair. They agreed to replace the unit and it was installed by my installers on 11/9/13. It cost me an additonal $300 for this second installation by independent installers since **'s replacement did not cover this labor.On the invoice from Southern Refrigeration, their warranty states that "We extend manufacturers warranty only on the items we sell and assume no responsibility for damage, labor or contingent liability resulting from the use of this merchandise." The fact is that I never got to use the merchandise (the first unit) because it was faulty upon delivery. I am very unhappy with Southern Refrigeration delivering me a faulty unit and not taking responsibility to ensure it was in working order upon receipt. Before contacting **, I asked Southern Refrigeration to replace it and they refused.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed $300 by Southern Refrigeration for the cost of the second installation of the replacement unit.
