Southern Star Construction did the roof on a complex addition to our house. It had to be done in one day due to weather moving in. The main builder was running behind schedule and when roofing could finally be started it was mid afternoon. [redacted] and his crew started working and went non-stop well passed [redacted]
The new roof, gutters, and down spouts looked beautiful and we couldn't believe they finished the same day. Several weeks later ice had built up on a section between old and new construction witch caused a leak inside the house. We called Southern Star because of their quality work. [redacted] pointed out that the area was not considered as Southern Star original work but he would fix the problem at no charge. We were blown away. Not only did we find a great company that we will call again and recommend to others, but we found an angel who happens to own a company.
I utilized Southern Star roofing for a gutter cleaning, roof inspection, and also power washing of my home and driveway. They did an excellent job on all of the services and I also must add that [redacted] was incredibly helpful and responsive to all customer concerns. Another thing I like about Southern Star is that they provide before and after photos of services, which really shows how much of a difference was made. After the power washing my driveway went from a dirty brown to a clean concrete gray and my home exterior was glowing. If you are looking for affordable service for your home this certainly is a company you should give a call.
This company was referred to me by an insurance company agent (based on his expertise and effort to do a good roofing job). I hired him to do the roofing job in my house in late 2015. He promptly responded with a quote and upon my approval sent his crew who came in at 7 AM on the day promised and finished the job and cleaned up the debris by 7 PM. I was impressed with the thoroughness of their work. The owner also came during the work in progress and assured me that the work will be to my satisfaction. In the next few days he submitted the claim to my insurance company which they approved and sent me a check. Soon after I paid the owner for his services. My experience with this roofing company is highly positive and I will gladly rehire him for another job (if needed) or recommend him to my friends.

The owner was very quick to respond to my request for a quote and while in process of replacing my roof, they took extra time to make sure there were no hidden problems. We had a decent hailstorm and it left some damage on my roof. I contacted xxxxx at the main office and 3 days later he sent his inspector xxxxx over. xxxxx was prompt and professional, explaining the entire process and properly setting expectations. He then met with and dealt with the insurance inspector and handled that portion of the roofing. All I needed to do was make sure to contact the insurance company to get things started.
After the meeting, xxxxx put me on the books for early the next week and told me the crew would arrive at 7:30am. They arrived at 6:50am, covered all my gardens and porches with tarps, moved patio furniture, grill and bird feeders out of the area and began working on the roof. They worked up until the sun set, about 8pm. The next morning I looked around my yard and it was almost spotless and none of the gardens looked trampled, which was a bonus.
The next day one of the guy's returned, made sure the yard was clean, everything was in place and to apply the
On June 27,2016 , had a new roof put on by Southern Star Construction.This had to be one of the smoothest transactions I have ever done.
They did such a wonderful job, the workers worked the whole time they were here, very polite and very hard working.
The roof looks amazing really a fine job, and when it come time for them to clean up and leave, I was totally amazed at how much time and effort they put into making sure no pieces of shingles are in your yard or any where else.
It was a very professional group of people and I highly recommend them.

My husband and I wanted to take the time to tell you "Thank You" for being there for us when we really needed help the most. I still cannot believe that the day after we closed on our house the wind storm hit the area and ripped off a good portion of the shingles on the front of our roof. We didn't even have a chance to get any furniture in the house and were faced with a major problem. The following day the winds were still bad and more shingles came off of the roof, tar paper was ripped and some of the shingles were even caught in our trees surrounding the house.
You and your crew were the first ones to help us even before our Insurance Company would. Thanks to you we had temporary tarps to secure the roof and you even replaced a damaged boot free of charge. At that point in time we hadn't even discussed any details or made any promises to go with your company but you stuck by us every step of the way and even helped out when the insurance adjuster had finally come out 3 weeks later.
We were so pleased with the efficient and professional manner in which the roof was replaced by your crew. It only took 1 day and the color, texture, workmanship and cleanup was just short of amazing! We would highly recommend you and your crew to anyone needing a roofing repair or replacement. It truly shows that you and your crew do care about a job well done and in helping someone in need.

Absolutely wonderful!!! HUGE thanks goes to these guys! Our roof was basically shot to make a long story short. With every phone call, email, text, etc I made/sent the response was very quick and very detailed. Everyone was really friendly and knowledgeable. [redacted] the owner came out and did the quote for the roof and everything went just as he said. No delays or surprises. Which is a huge plus being I've been burned a few times from previous contractors in the past. They really know what they are doing and I would recommend them to anyone!! We have a few more projects and we will def use only them going forward. A+++
