This is the second time I have done business with Southern Stone Surfaces The first was for my personal home They did a beautiful job installing quartz in my master bathroom (almost four years ago) Most recently they helped me in a house I am renovatingThey were very helpful and did a wonderful job They installed quartz in the master bathroom and granite in bathrooms and a kitchen The staff was very helpful in choosing slabs and exceeded my expectations in customer service I highly recommend them

This is our second experience with Southern Stone Obviously, our first experience went well or we wouldn't have been repeat customers There are a lot of granite, marble, quartz/quartzite suppliers & fabricators out there Let me save you some time and trouble Go to Southern Stone first & then check out a couple of the others Trust me You'll run, not walk, back to SS Now let's be honest A major remodeling project is like a trip to the dentist It's something that you either need or want to do You know going in that it is going to hurt, but you're willing to go through it, hoping, hoping, hoping that you will be more than pleased with the outcome That's where Southern Stone comes in They are the skilled professionals with just a touch of Novocaine so that the process doesn't hurt too much In our case it was a major kitchen remodel Everything ripped out, right down to the bare sheet-rock & studs Sure, there were other trades involved, but it was the Southern Stone Team that held our hand and walked us through the project (Incidentally, we were introduced to SS by Cliff's Cabinets here in Nashville who also did a superb job! More on them in their own review.) The team assigned to our project at Southern was Team Leader & Designer Amanda, Peter the "Template Guy" who laser-measured everything perfectly to within a fraction of a millimeter so that our installers Jaime & Noe could place everything perfectly Clint who took Peter's measurements and worked with us to perfectly layout our granite on his computer so that we could see everything before it was given over to the fabricator (sorry, no name) who turned out a flawless job The guys in the yard were always accommodating and polite when moving huge slabs of stone around (and around) for us Thomas and Cindy were in charge of scheduling and delivery and guess what? Delivered, as promised, ON TIME!! Now, how often does that happen? Let's not forget, Zack, who was with Amanda every step of the way So, there you have it It wasn't an easy process, but now that it's all over, we love our new kitchen and have, in a major way, Southern Stone to thank for it

After a dreadful experience with MC Gr&^%$te, Southern Stone not only bailed me out in the remodel of my kitchen, they did it with complete professionalism and frankly, the Quartz they installed looks much cleaner than the stone installed by that other company
In remodeling our kitchen, we had existing countertops to replace and we added a custom island being built separatelyAfter dealing with the headache of the other countertop company (you can see my review of MC Gr&^%$te) who installed, botched, then reinstalled countertops, thus pushing all other sub-contractors work out nearly weeks, in a pinch I contacted Southern Stone to bid on the remaining island countertop
Amanda walked me through the options for the quartz and was able to secure a measuring within hrsThey showed up on a busy Friday afternoon at the company building the island to professionally measureIt was great! Laser measurements, asked the right questions and guess what...when they came to install...it fit like a glove over a very expensive custom islandThe install team was great, they worked with me to get the stone in just the right place and did a great job of cleaning up after themselves so I didn't have to crawl under sinks with a shop vac to suck up particles left behindAND...they did all of this in one week!
These folks are great to work with, easy to communicate with, cover all the details and have awesome quartz and probably awesome granite as well! I highly recommend them if you're looking to upgrade your countertops, flooring, wallsWish I'd have shopped them initially in my search for kitchen countertopsWould have saved me time and headaches

Best countertops in Nashville area. Great price, selection and service. Will definitely use them again when we redo our bathroom!
