Southern Tek Renovations

I can tell from reviews here and elsewhere by others that we all had good experiences with Mathew *** and Tyler *** and the crew at Southern Tek. As online testimonials go, I think they really do earn five stars. If people actually used the whole scale, four stars would represent a solidly acceptable contract delivery that an outfit could be proud of producing reliably at a steady pace, and that a customer would be fortunate to be able to negotiate in this market. A satisfied customer like us might spot them a fifth star just for encouragement out of recognition that our local economy has a healthy community of home construction professions and trades in a properly competitive market, but I believe Southern Tek earns a fifth star. Together as customers we also might represent most situations homeowners face in replacing roofs. It's our second replacement because we've been living here many years. When we first met Southern Tek in our neighborhood we already knew roof replacement would be a major restoration project and could be expensive, so the problem facing us was knowing that at 17 years our roof would have to be replaced soon but having to fit a major expense into our budget. We looked into area standards and values as carefully as we could by talking with construction people we know, and were convinced Southern Tek was a solid business in a competitive industry. Stepping back, the service Matthew and Southern Tek provided was getting us directly from knowing we had the problem and being unsure how to solve it, to having a very sound roof which is better than both the original and the first replacement. We dragged out the process being cautious and dealing with homeowner's insurance Southern Tek had experience to share on that but Southern Tek for their part moved quickly, and the job itself took place in a day. I was impressed by on site supervision. We learned a lot about roof construction that we can now safely forget for a while.

I will start by saying that I am always very skeptical of companies that knock on my door and tell me that they are there to help. Christian actually came back twice after there were wind events in my area to offer to inspect my roof. The second time, he told me that he would have the owner of the company Matt come by and explain how he could help as he was certain that our roof would be replaced by insurance because we had a type of shingle that was prone to issues and was no longer produced. Matt, Christian and the crew did a great job for us. They worked directly with our insurance company and we really didn't need to lift a finger. The process was really simple and they did exactly what they said they would do. Quality, responsiveness and service was outstanding and the price was exactly what they said it would be. There was an issue with the insurance company not paying for some of the work that was done and I offered to pay the difference but Matt would not take my money. His response was "I told you that sometimes they (the insurance company) covers it and some times they don't but that there would be no additional cost you." I highly recommend Southern Tek Roofing.
