This letter is in response to your correspondence dated Friday July 7, 2017 which stated that a complaint was issued against our company on July 7, 2017. A bike was rented on July 1, 2017. The store policy is to provide a credit card for deposit purposes only. When the bike is returned the...
credit card is charged the appropriate amount. The customer requested that one credit card be used for the deposit and another card be used when the bike was returned. Although this is against company policy, the rental department agreed in order to accommodate the customer who was made aware of the exception. When the bike was returned the other credit card was charged and the deposit taken off of the original credit card. When the customer checked the card the charge was still there. The customer called the rental department who checked our system and saw that the deposit h?d been released and should be credited to the customer's card on either July 7th or 8th The rental department requested that the customer call back if the charges remained on the credjt card after that date.The customer did not call the rental department back but instead made a complaint to the Revdex.com. When the correspondence was received on July 12th the rental department manager made a call to the customer to verify if the charge had been removed or remained on the card. The customer was unavailable and has yet to respond to the message left. As far as Southern Tier Harley Davidson knows the original charge has been released from the customer's credit card and the issue has been resolved. As an organization :we go above and beyond every day to meet or exceed our customer's needs. If given a chance, the is ue would have been resolved without the need for a letter to the Revdex.com
