Ms. [redacted] came in and asked us to confirm if her cam sensor was leaking because her mechanic said it was. We confirmed and then she let us fix it. She called and said she saw oil leaking. W said bring it back and let us see what it was. We...

cleaned the old oil away and added an oil dye and said bring it back in 50 miles to let us check. She never called or came back. We figured issue resolved. Ms. [redacted] was negligent on her part by not following up. No refund is due because we did not get the car back in to check. All of our work has a 1 year parts and labor warranty, but we have to be able to confirm the work so that we can get our money back from the parts supplier.
Thanks for your time.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 11, 2015/09/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept the response received from Quality Tire & Automotive. It does not matter what the first mechanic said is wrong because opinions differ. The counter person, "Charlie" advised me why my car was leaking oil, gave a price to repair; and I gave the go-ahead to fix it. If they had truly repaired my car where oil leaks not only would a different part have been replaced it would have taken longer than 1.5-to 2 hours to complete. That's what I learned and more that made me so uncomfortable and distressed with Quality Tire & Automotive. Plus, another customer filed a car repair complaint with the Revdex.com against Quality Tire & Automotive last year that was not resolved. To now bring up the subject of a warranty is moot. No way I would I allow them under the hood of my car ever again. I am checking on if their mechanics are ASE (National Institute for Automotive Excellence) certified. They have no sign posted explaining customer rights under the North Carolina law. As a consumer, I am protected under the North Carolina Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act. I demand a refund to resolve the matter. I thank the Revdex.com for their help in this matter.
