the homeowner took me inside her house to see water damage and the water leaking through fight fixtures. We went outside to access the damage the tree had caused. It was propped up against the house after knocking the electric wires loose. It was pouring rain the whole time. She asked if I could do anything to cover the roof. With a 10ft, x 10ft, tarp, which I carry with me for these emergency situations, I was able to get onto the dangerously slick wet roof in the pouring rain and at least cover the area that was causing the most damage and I was able to alleviate some of the water damage. This was a very risky task considering the weather, the unstable tree, and the dangling electric wires. I charged for my time and the risk of injury to be climbing a dangerous roof in those conditions, I spoke with the insurance  agent who agreed that the charge was fair and acceptable and paid the homeowner for the $425.00.    She states in her complaint that my price was double what other services charged, while I do not know what those price were or exactly what they quoted her for I do know that to put a fair value price on the risky emergency service I provided- A fair value price that the Insurance adjustor agreed with.I also gave her the price in writing for the cost to remove that tree in those conditions- The insurance claim agent was fine with my price but the homeowner wanted to wait.

Review: I had a very large tree fall on my home on April 30, 2014. My roof was totally destroyed. Southern Tree Service came out to give an estimate the same day. The estimate was double the amount of all other estimates. It was raining when Southern Tree Service came out for the estimate. Southern Tree Service put up a tarp. I did not sign any documents or contracts with Southern Tree Service. I presumed Southern Tree Service was going to put up a tarp to cover the roof and stop the rain from causing more damage. The tarp was no bigger than a tablecloth. I am being charged $425 for a $2 tarp. A tarp that did not cover 1/10 of the damage. While Southern Tree Service was at my home other tree removal companies came to give an estimate. Southern Tree Service only concern was to charge some fee or make some profit out of the visit to my home. These types of business practices are unscrupulous and predatory. I will NEVER RECOMMEND Southern Tree Service.Desired Settlement: I will provide a new tarp or return tarp, and not be charged by Southern Tree Service for a supposedly free estimate.

Review: Company destroyed personal property (a gas lamp post). It is a safety issue lowering the value of house and neighborhood. This has been an issue for about a year and owner has not been motivated to fix the problem.Desired Settlement: Needs to be replaced within a week. We are expecting family and friends to visit for the holidays.

I am responding to Revdex.com Complaint #[redacted]: A gas light fixture was damaged by our service at a vacant home while removing a tree

for the neighbor. We had been In contact with the client to help us identify with the builder their contractor to repair the lamp. On Oct, 31, 2013 I contacted the new homeowner by phone and email to let them know we are aware that the lamp need to be fixed. Dec. 3, 2013.

I spoke with a contractor that the new homeowner recommended to have him inspect the damage and I am awaiting his proposal.

The light fixture will be fixed.
