 Our new owners and management began operating Kamuela Inn on June 4, 2015.  I will be sure to claim the business under our new owners and management name as soon as possible.Secondly, we received a letter regarding a complaint by Mr. [redacted], regarding his stay with us on March 12, 2017.  It was assigned an ID [redacted].  This letter is to address this complaint as follows:The customer guest name (according to id submitted at check-in) was[redacted], NOT [redacted].  The legitimate charge to Mr. [redacted] was for his violation of our Non-smoking Policy.  Within an hour of his check-out, the room was entered by housekeeping, whereby they detected a smokey odor.  Upon further inspection, found cigarette ashes in the bathroom.  Our hotel policy is that we apply a $150 charge for smoking in the room.  At check-in, he was told by staff that we are a non-smoking property and that there is a Smoking/Cleaning Fee of $150  for violation of our policy.  He signed the guest registration card confirming that he understood our various policies.  Mr. [redacted] was notified of the reason why he was charged.  Additionally, we document all damages or evidence of smoking with photos.  An emailed copy of this photo may be sent upon request.His claim of unwanted sexual advances is absolutely false.  I will not even attempt to address his false accusations.  Even a casual review of guest comments on Yelp, TripAdvisor or other independent sites, display high praise and positive reviews of my friendly and courteous staff members.  A simple observation of our reviews will prove our excellent customer service.I would kindly ask Revdex.com dismiss Mr. [redacted] or Mr. [redacted]'s filing of his inaccurate and false complaint.  I believe by reviewing the attached folio and guest registration card, it reveals that Mr. [redacted] has something to hide with his inconsistent personal information submitted to both Kamuela Inn and his Revdex.com complaint.  This inconsistent information gives me cause for concern about who this person really is, and questions his credibility.I apologize for the delay with my response as the Revdex.com Complaint Letter was sent to our street address where we do not receive USPS mail.  It's delivery was delayed due to the use of an incorrect address.  I only received this letter upon my return to work on Monday, March 27, 2017.  Mahalo for your time and attention to this matter.  I look forward to hearing how this matter is being settled as to not damage our reputation based on false information by Mr. [redacted]/[redacted].  Best Regards,Edlyn C[redacted]Innkeeper/Hotel ManagerKamuela InnPO Box 2126Kamuela, HI 96743(808) 885-4243 Office
