Review: At the time I signed the contract in July, I was barely walking with a boot on and using a walker. He [redacted] both assured me it would be a week for the pavers to come in and 2-3 days to finish the work. They both knew it was more of a necessity than a want. I was just going with a higher quality because I wanted to add value to the house and picked out pavers that matched the decorative rock and the brick on the house. The weather bought him some time, as it did rain quite a bit in July and part of August. However, there were days the weather was good and the ground was drier. Those days he made excuses or just plain did not show up. At the end of August, I had gotten frustrated seeing his relentless advertising for more business when he had not done the work I paid him for. So, I posted on an ad he put up for a discount for Labor Day. I posted "Could you please come do my July job before advertising for more work." The next morning he sent me a brash text. I was afraid all along not to push because I didn't want him to come and do a shotty job. After we came to an agreement he would be here on Sept 3rd, I looked online and found that he had blocked me from his page. But, friends were telling me he still had a picture of my house on his page using it for advertising. He has now completely changed the page and removed pictures of my house, the jobs he posted that he did on the days that he said would be here, and never showed, and the pictures of work he was doing at an assisted living in my hometown (since then, I have found that he did a shotty job there and will not come back to fix anything.) Someone also posted on another page that he scammed their sister and she had to sue (don't know the details there.) He has not responded to an attorney letter sent to him 2 weeks ago by an attorney. I need a refund so I can either find a reputable contractor or put in a chair lift in my home to access my basement.Desired Settlement: Refund of funds paid in July of $1,442.26 per our contract.
