Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/12/01) */
I do apologize for any inconvenience to this customerUnfortunately, Southern Water closed its doors due to insolvencyAll manufacturer warranties still remain with the systemThere are several water companies in the Triad that will be able
to help with servicing your equipmentAll companies are trained on all systemsWe do apologize once again

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/09/09) */
First, we do not pressure anyone into buying a system We go to homes to give residential households information about their water It is completely up to the owners of the home whether or not they want to purchase a system Second,
*** is a very upstanding company that has been doing business for the past years Their equipment works and we have thousands of satisfied customers using this equipment If in fact the equipment is defective, we would get a replacement to put into anyone's homeThird, there are hundreds of water companies all over the country selling these types of systems Most of them are in the $9000-range We offer similar systems for less because we know the commitment it takes to purchasing a system We also give years of free soap products, very EXPENSIVE to offset the cost of the system We understand systems are expensive, but all of these types of systems are and again, it is completely up to the customer on whether they want to purchase or not The customer also has three days to rescind their purchase which did not happen As far as the regenerations, it was not malfunctioning equipment, it was that the timers were off This happens whenever power to the home goes out As happened many times this year in our areas of service, power has been interrupted quite frequently because of storms in the area This is ultimately what happened A few simple inputs on the timer (like a clock) and the issue would have been fixed
We would be more than happy to revisit this household at no charge to make sure everything is in working order If in fact after that visit it is not, then we would request a new system from the manufacturer to be installed
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/09/15) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
WE DO FEEL LIKE WE WERE PRESSURED INTO GETTING THIS WATER SYSTEMWhen Brian came out here and tested the water, he said the test results were so poor that if we lived in the city limits, that he would have to report his findingsAnd the only system he told us about was the HYDRO-TECHAt no time was any other system mentionedHe did not explain that the system regenerated gallon for gallon that we usedWe would have told him our well could not handle this system or any other system like it
We found that out when the system started regenerating every night at 11:the first week of JuneWe called the office to report a problem and Bill, the maintenance supervisor, gave us the details on how the system really workedIt took weeks before anyone came out
The owner's response about timer malfunction is COMPLETELY RIDICULOUSWhy is it when Chad finally came out here, checked the system, and set the timer, we had to cut the system off the same night with the same issueTHERE WAS NO POWER OUTAGE OR SURGE
What about the way the system is installedIt's bad enough the system uses so much water, it's going on the groundThe yard at the side of the house where the system is looks like a flood hit it when it is dumping water
The owner and his maintenance man need to come out here themselves and address our issuesThe last person to come out here didn't know anything about the system, much less how to fix it A part had been ordered to replace something on one of the tanks and the man didn't even know where it went

[redacted] is a very upstanding company that has been doing business for the past 30 years. Their equipment works and we have thousands of satisfied customers using this equipment. If in fact the equipment is defective, we would get a replacement to put into anyone's home. Third, there are hundreds of water companies all over the country selling these types of systems. Most of them are in the $9000-12000 range. We offer similar systems for less because we know the commitment it takes to purchasing a system. We also give 5 years of free soap products, very EXPENSIVE to offset the cost of the system. We understand systems are expensive, but all of these types of systems are and again, it is completely up to the customer on whether they want to purchase or not. The customer also has three days to rescind their purchase which did not happen. As far as the regenerations, it was not malfunctioning equipment, it was that the timers were off. This happens whenever power to the home goes out. As happened many times this year in our areas of service, power has been interrupted quite frequently because of storms in the area. This is ultimately what happened. A few simple inputs on the timer (like a clock) and the issue would have been fixed.

Contact Name and Title: [redacted] - Owner
Contact Phone: [redacted]
Contact Email: [redacted]@yahoo.com
Yes we did contact Mr. [redacted] on Monday. The free service that we offer allows us to contact people on the Do Not Call...

Registry. Mr. [redacted] simply needed to let us know that he did not want to be called by us anymore and we would have taken him off of our call list. However, Mr. [redacted] was very belligerent to the lady on the phone going as far as cursing and calling her derogatory names. The people we employ are only doing the job they are legally trained to do. My employee did not deserve to be harassed by Mr. [redacted]. In saying that, I will take Mr. [redacted] off of our call list but a verbal apology for contacting him legally will not be done given his outburst on the phone. If you need to hear the phone conversation for verification, I will be more than happy to supply that as we record all calls for training purposes.
