Southland Custom builders built us a home months agoDuring the process of building, we had numerous issues with how things were turning outWe were told numerous times by Hutch and Mark, "Oh don't worry, that's an easy fix" Around 75% of the home had to be redone after it was doneWe began to think we would never get moved inAfter moving in, we have had water standing under our home in the crawl space every time it rainsIt has been treated twice for mold already! They have attempted to fix the problem three times! Problem is, they have no clue what the problem is or how to fix itWe have had two professional waterproofing companies give answers to what the problem is and how it needs to be fixedThey refuse to have it properly fixedI would recommend no one to have a home built by Southland custom builders! Just ask the few people who have had them build, no one is happy with the outcome! Please take heed! Check with reliable sources before having Hutch or Mark do anything for you

I entered into a contract with Mark R*** on Nov20th of this year to do a bathroom addition to my house He requested payment of 35% of the total amt($17,115.00) He cashed a bank check for that amount from me on Nov27th He never submitted a plan or sketch of his proposal and did not appear for first scheduled day of work on Dec2nd Mark was recommended to me by ***, *** He said that he and Mark would work together on my job but he was not listed on my contract Neither have attempted to contact me Mark has been reviewed on numerous websites as being inept, incompetent, completing shoddy work and using questionable subcontractors I can't fire him because I can't find him I am in the process of filing complaints with NC Licensing Board for General Contractors and NC Deptof Justice against him
