Brought lawn mower in for repair and regular maintenance. When it was delivered I noticed that most of the work on the bill was not done.
I scheduled an appointment for 4-12-18 to bring mower in for regular maintenance: change the engine oil, oil filter, air filter, spark plugs, sharpen blades, level deck and check steering which was all inclusive in the service package. I also had a hydro static transmission oil leak (which was previously repaired)and a squealing noise from the rear pulley (which was also previously repaired)and adjust engine valves because it was recommended. I was contacted on 4-21-18 by the service department that mower was ready for pickup. I was contacted 15 minutes later stating that engine was only running on 1 cylinder and they would give me a loaner mower and come pick it up before they close. I inquired about mower status on 4-24-18 and was told the coil wire was bad and that is why the engine was only running on 1 cylinder, however when I originally dropped off mower I was not experiencing any engine trouble. Mower was delivered to my home on 4-26-18 and I noticed that the cutting blades were not sharpened, the hydrostatic oil reservoir was empty, and the valve covers were never removed indicating the valves were never adjusted. At this point I did not need to check any further if repairs were done that were on the bill for $473.48. The delivery driver witnessed me checking and confirmed the above work was not done. He instructed me to call southland engine and speak to Laurie which I did. I was told she would speak to the service department manager to check on the work order. Delivery driver loaded my mower back on the truck and left. I have not heard from anyone representing southland engine company on how this issue will be resolved.
Repair and replace what is on the work order and verify that all maintenance parts and fluids have been replaced with new and fluids are full. Verify that not long term damage was caused by the lack of fluid from repair. Clear explanation of work performed and charges. Explanation of this company's quality control process and why I was being billed for work that was not performed.

Original Repair Job #20336 (Invoice #388570) Management was notified of the situation on the afternoon of 4/26/18.
"Comeback Repair Job #24888 (Invoice 388917).
His unit was reviewed - once unit was brought back in from customer, gave customer a "Loaner Unit" to use while his was in the shop. Was put in "Hot" status and looked at right away by a Senior Technician and Management - found technician #63 did not complete all work as needed to complete job.
All work was completed and signed off by Mgmt. with no charge to customer. Let unit set
overnight - checked in the morning for any oil leakage - no leaks. Ran engine - no noise. Customer was called at 4/27/18 at 9:00 am to schedule delivery back - no answer, message was left. Customer returned call, said he would pick his unit up and drop of our loaner unit before 5:00 pm that day.
Customer drove up at 4:56 pm - was taken step by step over repairs and explained what was done & why.
Customer appeared satisfied and ask in the future to not have tech. #63 work on his mower, (which is noted on account).
Technician #63 has been made aware of this complaint and went over with process. He is one of our newer technicians.
