Southpoint Cleaners Reviews (4)

On October 31, 2015, I dropped off twelve articles of clothing at South point Discount. I've used this cleaners services multiple times within the past five years and had no problems until now.On November 7, 2015, I picked up twelve articles of clothing. Once I arrived at home, I realized I was missing my black vest but had a pair of men's black pants. I am a single female, so I do not own men's pants. I immediately called the dry cleaners to explain that there was a mix up and I want my vest returned. I told the associate that I had someone else pants and provided the cr on the tag attach to the men's pants. I was told that she would check all the clothes dropped off on October 31, 2015 and look for my vest. I was told that she would follow up with me. I did not receive a returned phone call.On November 10, 2015, I called the cleaner for a status update and to determine if my vest was located. Sadly, it seemed no action had been taken. A different associate told me that I didn't drop off a vest because it was not document on the ticket. This is absurd because I know exactly what piece of clothing I sent off to be cleaned. It's not my fault an associate coded my ticket incorrectly as a blouse. I am now waiting for the owner to call me back. I've taken it upon myself to reach out to the owner of the black pants to explain the mishap because his phone number was on the tag. Sadly, the customer was not aware of the mix up. I'm scheduled to meet him at the Dry Cleaners on November 11, 2015 to return his pants. Its ashamed that I had to reach out to a customer to resolve this cleaners problem and to find out he does not have my vest either. I assume that my vest is officially lost. This has been beyond my worst experience at a dry cleaner; from losing my vest, poor customer service and the organization not taking the initiative to lessen the effort on my part to resolve this issue. The organization needs to take ownership of their mishap, fix the problem and satisfy the customerProduct_Or_Service: Dry CleanersOrder_Number: XXXXXDesired SettlementI would like my black vest returned and my entire dry cleaners bill of $30.39 refunded. It is unacceptable that I pay a organization for poor and unreliable service. If my vest is not found, I want South Point Discount Cleaners to pay me $40.00 to replace my vest and refund my $30.39 for the full dry cleaner bill.

Southpoint Cleaners lost a blouse and refuse to reimburse me for it. Southpoint Cleaners lost a blouse in late June 2013. I explained that I needed them to look for it because I would be moving out of the area on July 7, 2013. They did not find the blouse. Even though the blouse was only a year old, they told me that without the original purchase receipt, they could only give me $20 for the blouse. I have yet to even receive the $20 I was promised despite numerous phone calls. Someone always takes the message and assures me that the message will be passed on to the plant manager. I would prefer to have my blouse, but Southpoint Cleaners seems to have put no effort into looking for it. Additionally, they have been unresponsive about compensating me the paltry $20 that they offered -- a pittance for a silk BCBG blouse.Desired SettlementIf they cannot produce my blouse, I want replacement cost for it.

They lost a jacket and had promised to pay the below cost value of jacket and refund cost of lost dry cleaned item but now are giving me a run aroundI took seven items for dry cleaning to Southpoint Cleaners on October 20,2014. The items were promised back on Wednesday October 22,2014. Six of the items were retuned expect for a Grey [redacted] Jacket. I made several trips to the cleaners checking on status of my lost jacket and was told that they were still checking all there locations. On or about October 31st I asked what type of compensation they would honor since they lost my jacket. I was told to submit a receipt of purchase for the jacket. I explained that I wouldn't have receipt for the jacket since it was purchase a while a ago. It was then suggested that find a picture of the jacket on line with the price and that would work. Around November 4th I submitted the picture of a similar jacket along with the price.t. On November 7th, I was told that a check would be in the mail the following week. By the end on the week on November 15th, no check. I called the cleanser back on two ocassions and spoke with [redacted] cocerning the fact I hadn't received a check. I was told on November 20th that the person in charge of sending the check is out of the County at a funeral. I feel like I am getting the run around. The jacket was one of my favorites and I would love to have it back and or at least be compensated for their mistake. Plus I paid to have it cleaned and no money was refunded for the cleaning cost. Desired SettlementRefund of cost of jacket in which they agreed upon, which would be $39.99 and the cost of the drycleaning charge.

Southpoint Discount Cleaners did not have my black and beige giraffe-print jacket when I came to pick it up on 11/30/15, which is when they promised that it would be ready. They indicated that they would need several more days to locate it. After about three weeks, they acknowledged that they had probably lost it and would pay the estimated value of the jacket. They indicated that this value would be no more than $30, although the jacket was valued closer to $50. I completed the claim paperwork and they told me that it would take "3-4 months" to issue a check. Despite several visits and calls to this location, I have received no further acknowledgement of my claim or any status updates. Staff have repeatedly indicated that the manager or the owner would be in touch with me to settle this matter, but to no avail. This situation has now been going on for five months, and I have no check from the company.Desired SettlementI would like a check for $50 ASAP, both to acknowledge the loss of the jacket[redacted]
