We have received a letter of complaint from you regarding *** *** has received a letter of collections because she has not paid her outstanding bill of $from her dental
appointment from November 19,
*** had not contacted me regarding this letter, has not attempted to make any payments amends on her outstanding bill and this is the first I have heard from her since she left the office on Nov without paying or making arrangements when we tried to bill her old insurance & it was declined
We are not responsible for anyone's neither dental insurance, nor do we do dental work based anyone's dental insuranceOur job is to recommend & provide dental treatment that is in a patient's best interestIf *** was aware that her dental insurance ended, who did she think was going to pay for it? She even stated in her letter that she needed to address some tax issues to fix her dental insurance
Dr Phil is an excellent dentist, he has staff to payThe hygienist is on commission & is the one that did ***'s cleaningIf a patient does not pay, then the hygienist does not get paid*** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** * *** *** *** *** *** *** does know the importance of ones dental health as she told us that day she had just paid for her cat's dental appointment so the $should seem like a bargain
This is far from an ethical issue as *** statesIt is a matter of *** not taking responsibility for her own dental insurance & expecting other to carry her burdenIf *** does get her insurance in order promptly, I will hold the account from collections & try to submit to her insurance to her insurance company if it is going to be retroactive
