*** came to Southport cleaners for the first time and brought dress on 5/11/at 6:PM
She told *** (front Counter Helper) that she wanted all the creases out and *** suggested to her that cleaning and pressing
process will be better to remove all creases from the dress*** agreed with *** and told her to do whatever you need to doAt this time *** prepared an attached invoice for dry cleaning and provided a copy to her and also mentioned to her to review the invoice for service and costShe replied it looks fine
Our garment sorting process before cleaning involves inspecting each garment for color, type of garment, reading care label to ensure cleaning process is performed to protect garment, button,
beading, and ornament to achieve best cleaning resultOur dry cleaning solvent type is hydrocarbon and it is an Eco-friendly chemical and not aggressive like perc
Since ***'s dress had no care label, her dress was inspected by *** (Supervisor) and me (Manager)The bottom parts of dress was dirty, there were a lot of beads on her dress and were attached using threadA decision was made jointly by *** and I to dry clean her dress for the best resultAfter dry cleaning her dress was inspected and found that a few beads,came off during cleaning process because these few beads were glued and not attached using threads which were not visible and difficult to detectThere were no melted BeadsThe glue from the beads also left few glue marking on back of her dress
We treated these glue marking with spotting chemical and it improved; however, still
visible from a very close distanceThe dress was clean and wearable*** called *** to explain the above situation and left a voice mail to call cleaners about her dress
Next morning *** called the cleaners and when *** explained her dress situation she started getting mad and she said why did you clean my dress when I just brought for pressing
*** informed her that the invoice for her dress is for dry-cleaningShe started getting loud and mad over

the phone and *** requested her to come to the cleaners and look at the dress and we can discuss more in detail
*** came in the store and *** brought her dress and she stated yelling and continually using
profanity*** told her that we are sorry that this happenedShe was very loud, unstoppable, not
listening, letting anyone to explain anything and continued cursingAt this point, *** requested her to call the person she came with and she said that he was her dadWhen her dad came in the store *** and I both were explaining the situation to him*** continues cursing and her dad asked her to calm down and to go outsideShe continues cursing and did not listen to her dadShe asked for her dressShe said that give me my dress or I will call the copsSo *** said I will call Police for you and he didWhen the police came in *** did not say anything*** explained to the Police
officer what had happened and *** had calmed down at that timeThe Police officer told *** that if you need anything call us and he left the cleaners***'s dad was very understanding and was trying to resolve the situation and told us that his wife is coming and he went to his carHis wife came in and explains how important this dress was and said that I just want to take this dress and don't want to pay the full priceThis is the first time price was mentioned in the whole situationShe agreed
to pay $dollar plus tax, did not want us to touch the dress and did not give us an opportunity to fully explain the incidentOur intent of call was to explain the situation and find a resolution which would be acceptable to her

His response leaves out some vital info !st of all the dress was only to be pressedHe did fully explain to me what happenedThe beads were sewn on the seamstress that fixed the dress that took here three hours to fixMay of the the beads had discolored in the processI will admit that *** was out of controlI did not like that he called me a liar several timesIts only a prom dress its not the end of the worldJust take it back its poorly made they will give you your money backHe thought we bought it locallyThe dress was custom made and mailed to usWe are not ***'s parents only guardiansThe only reason I accepted the price was so they would give me the dressI WORK RETAIL the customer is always right even it they are notI can't believe a business owner would fight that hard over thirty bucksEven is a customer would wash an item and something happened we would take it backHis wife was the one who accepted the 1/price she was at least reasonableThe owner was just as bad as ***If he had really been in business for years he would not have dry cleaned the dress he said he questioned it before he did itSince then I have spoken to several individuals that have had issues thereHad I known his reputation I would not have taken the dress thereI am not even asking for what it cost to fix the dressI really want an apology and for him to quit lyingHe made a mistake suck it upHe went on the defense right away covering his butt

I have explained everything in my last reply and as she said customer is always right, so at this point I am sorry for their inconvenience and apologize on behalf of my employee for the whole situation
We do have a very good customer service recordMost of our customers are repeated customer and we have a very good relationship with themWe never had an experience like this before and once again we are sorry for this incident
Following are clarifications:
o The male person referenced in the complaint is not the owner, he is a supervisor
o The person reference as his wife is me and my name is *** and I am the owner
