Southside Animal Shelter

I went here with a friend who was looking for a dog and my first thought was there is no way he is getting anything from here. This place looks like someone just decided to make a 'shelter' in their backyard. We went and saw the cats and they had sick cats and healthy cats in the same room. There was a FeLV positive cat in its kennel with other cats just walking around. FeLV can be transmitted through saliva and other bodily fluids so if this cat were to sneeze on another they could potentially get it - it's very contagious and they did not have this cat quarantined at all. This place is not fit and I would highly suggest going somewhere else.
