Customer states a refund was given for $*** but not for small payments madeShe did state she was told each client case will be reviewed more carefully in the future to make sure concerns like this do not happen

This is in response to your letter regarding the complaint made against Southside Community Services Board, on 02/14/2017,  ID [redacted].This complaint was made in regard to a service provided to this individual by an emergency services clinician who is a certified pre-screener by the [redacted] and [redacted] The type of insurance that she has will only reimburse for one type of license, which is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). In all  cases, we endeavor to match the individual with a provider that is covered by their insurance, however, in the case of emergency services, this is not always possible and was not possible in this case.The individuals are informed at the time of the service that they may be billed. If after the service occurs it is determined that the insurance will not cover the service, we send a letter to the individual informing them of this and also inform them that they can come into the agency and meet with our reimbursement technician to reduce the cost of the service and/or set up a payment plan.Ms. [redacted] was given all of these opportunities including several phone calls from our reimbursement team to come into the agency and work with us to reduce her bill. She declined this offer. Since we strive to work with the individuals in our services and have their best interest at heart, in regards to their health, we did return the money that was garnished from the individual’s tax return back to her.We have reviewed our financial practices and are confident that we do what we can to inform the individuals at the time of service of their financial responsibilities and notify them as soon as possible after the service if there will be a charge. We are sorry that this individual has had this experience and would hope that this satisfies the nature of the complaint.
