Southtowns Dental Services, P.C

In May of 2013, my daughter, [redacted], went to Southtowns Dental Services to have her wisdom teeth pulled. We went there in April 2013 to consult with them to see what the price would be. They purported it to be cheaper because they use a local anesthesia and would not knock her out.

They gave us a form that stated our insurance would pay $ 1,172.00 of the $1,414.00 cost and that our share would be $241.50. However, when I received the actual bill, they stated I owe $800. Far different than what they quoted me on paper.

I went with them because they said they could do it cheaper than anywhere else as they are not surgeons. If I had known that they would have scammed us like this, not checking with the insurance providers to see how much they would actually cover until afterwards, I would have gone elsewhere and saved my daughter some pain and then some of it would have been covered by our health insurance and not just dental insurance.
