Southwest Endoscopy & Surgicenter

This business is listed on Ethical Arizona. They are not ethical. I had a colonoscopy on 6/23/2016. They represented that they are in network for United Health Care, who is my insurance carrier. The anesthesiologist and the nurse were out of network so I received an outrageous bill from each of those people. Southwest made no attempt to inform me that the people they use are out of network. Had I known this, I would not have used them. I'm sure that's what they are scared of. Very unethical. Not against the law because our legislators are corrupt and passed a law allow this type of activity!

My Mom had an appointment this morning at 9:30 for an endoscopy and a colonoscopy and we arrived at 8:30 like we were asked to, only to find that the appointment was canceled (through her doctors office, not her) because her insurance approval had not come through. The appointment was made three weeks in advance because it takes the insurance two weeks to approve it. The doctor called and confirmed that the insurance went through earlier in the week. No one from SEC called to cancel the appointment. And we were told that our Doctor doesn't get the insurance approval, that SEC does. And yet, they still didn't call to tell my Mom they didn't have approval. She had to drink all that solution the day before and eat nothing and was in the bathroom all night. And all we were told from the staff at SEC over and over was "Sorry, but I only work on the weekends, I don't know what happened." No one could tell us why they didn't call us. They just kept saying sorry, it wasn't their fault. A nurse finally gave us a name of the person in charge of the Admins. I went home and called to leave a voice mail and the same girl at the desk answered and didn't even know who she was. After sitting on hold, she came back and said she works during the week. I asked for voice mail and when she transferred me it just rang and rang. She came back on the line and said she didn't know why it didn't pick up. I asked for an email address and she said she didn't know if she had one. I said Thank You, I would call back on Monday. Not one person there offered to help. They all just said they only work on weekends and they were sorry. Extremely disappointed in the service.
