Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/14) */
Ms***,
The job we performed for you was completed nearly 1/years prior to your call to us regarding the issueOur labor warranty is one year in duration, which is considerably longer than many in our industryEven so, we have
attempted to call you to discuss an out-of-warranty adjustment, but have only been able to leave voicemails for you and have not received any return callIn our last discussion, my understanding was that you desired a call after you returned from your vacation and you would be returning on 6/29/I cited my calendar to phone you the morning of 6/30/with respect to you having your return day to settle in and get caught up
Unfortunately, we did experience a full power outage for a large portion of the day and the email informing you of your contact's delay from us, came to you - courtesy of the local Panera Bread's free WiFiOnce our power was restored on 6/30/15, we reached out to you multiple times, at multiple phone numbers to discuss an out-of-warranty adjustment, but were only able to leave voicemails asking for a return call, which to date we have not receivedWe have not continued to call, as we do not want to come across as "badgering"
Sincerely,
John I
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/16) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Mortar shouldn't have an expiration date, it should last a lifetime, so maybe a year guarantee on "product" purchased, but the work done on the hearthstones should last longer (a lifetime)Never once did you mention out of warranty costWhich I wouldn't hire you to do or pay
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/07/30) */
Ms***,
I assume when you refer to "mortar shouldn't have an expiration date" - you are referencing that mortar should last forever, as you stated in our phone conversationIf all mortar lasted forever, the career of "tuckpointer" would not existThe mortar had been on your floor for 1/years, and would be subject to the floor expanding and contracting with the seasons, people and or pets walking on it, etc
As we stated previously, we attempted to contact you multiple times to discuss an out-of-warranty adjustment (in other words, us performing a good-will repair), but we never received a return call from you
Sincerely,
John

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find the resolution is satisfactory to me

We (Kurguz Paving) will re-seal and fix one slab as per your requestWe are finalizing this issue once slab and sealing are completed

I am rejecting this response because: I would also like driveway to be re-sealed as Terry promised and new slab replaced at your convenience. The driveway does look better as time goes on but its very obvious the 2nd part had issue's with the concrete.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 8, 2015/10/12) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Issue resolved on 9/24. Company did not fix issue until after complaint was filed on 9/22.

We feel there is nothing wrong with the cement driveway or work performed by us. If other professionals said “this driveway wasn’t acceptable after completion”, please provide written documentation from the Professional Concrete Contractors. We absolutely do not agree with a full refund. We are not...

sure we cracked a slab, but are willing to replace one slab at no cost.
