Thank you for the kind words. It was great working with the two of you!

When I had buyers looking to build a new home, we visited several local builders. After meeting with Larry & Danny of Southwest Florida Dream Builders, and seeing the quality of their work, and what they include which other builders consider upgrades, the choice was easy. During the construction process, questions were answered quickly, things progressed well, and allowing the buyer to make their own selections of many items makes it feel more of a custom home. The home was recently finished, and met all expectations. Everyone is happy! As a Realtor®, recommending Southwest Florida Dream Builders to other clients will not be a problem. I hope to work with them again soon.

Thank you ***. It was a pleasure. Looking forward to working with you again.

This is the 2nd home SWFL Dream Builders has built for us and we couldnt have asked for a better quality home. They always responded right away to any questions we had. They were down to earth and just great guys to work with. Very attention to detail as well. It was a pleasure working with them and we recommend SWFL Dream Builders to anyone looking to build their dream home.

It was our pleasure! We hope you enjoy the home for many years to come.

SWFL Dream Builders recently completed a new home for me in Englewood, FL. Their professionalism was outstanding. They were always pleasant to work with and excellent with their communication. I was out of state during the build so their updates were very important to me. They sent pictures at each state of the build. When my daughter and I flew down in February 2019 to pick out the selections for the house they all three were with us the entire day. That was greatly appreciated. I felt that I could call them at any time with questions and they always responded. I would highly recommend this company for any new build.

Thank you for the kind review ***. It really was a pleasure to work with you. We hope you enjoy your home for many years to come.

We built a brand new house with the company listed above. We keep our thermostat at 76°. From the end of July through August the thermostat reads 80.
We built a brand new house through Southwest Florida dream builders and move in March 2018. From the middle of July 2018 to the end of August 2018 our air-conditioner does not keep the house at desired temperature. We keep the thermostat at 76° and from 11 AM through 7 PM the thermostat reads higher than that. The peak is 81° in the middle of the afternoon. We contact Southwest Florida dream builders To resolve the issue and they told us there's nothing they can do. That we have to deal with it in the summertime, and 76° is not a reasonable expectation. Please help us.

Desired Outcome

We are seeking for them to put in an air conditioner that can keep the house at the desired temperature during the hotter months. At the time of purchase we made this a concern of ours to the builder. They told us the air-conditioner that was put into the home will be plenty good enough to suffice what we are looking for. We would gladly have upgraded the air-conditioner if given the opportunity. The opportunity was never given to us. Now they're telling us there's nothing they can do.

Southwest Florida Dream Builders Response • Aug 22, 2018

Southwest Florida Dream Builders is sorry that you are still unsatisfied with our attempts at resolution. From our written documentation from you, the highest recorded temp. in your home was 78 degrees and your desired temp. was 74 degrees. This was on a day that was 97 degrees with a "real feel" well above 100 degrees. Southwest Florida Dream Builders has been in contact with you throughout this issue with our last communication on the subject being 8/15/18. We have coordinated with the HVAC contractor who had been to your home multiple times in a week and every time confirmed the unit was working properly. One visit included the service manager who reviewed all the energy calculations with you that had been filed, reviewed, and approved by Charlotte County Building Department. This was our first attempt to satisfy your concerns. Industry standards are 15-20 degrees below outside temperature and the unit was operating well below that specification. Thanks to our efforts and contact with the HVAC company we were able to get you a $1,500 credit to use toward upgrading the system so that you could reach your desired temperature. This issue was resolved and last we spoke with the HVAC company you had scheduled the upgrade and installation for 8/24/18. Our understanding is that your issue has been resolved.

Customer Response • Aug 23, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
There has been no attempt by Southwest Florida dream builders to resolve this. The only resolution is a larger unit, which they themselves admit at the end of this response. They attempted to find what the issue was, once the issue was found there was no attempt to resolve it. I would desire temp is 74° however we have been keeping it at 76° because we were told 74 was not reasonable. We were told by the air conditioning company that a larger unit would let us keep our house at 74 on 97° days. It doesn't matter how many tests or calx or run on the unit, the fact is it does not keep our house under 80° if we set the temperature at 76. This is the third house we lived in in Florida and have never had this issue. The house is at 78° when the technician was here because we had to lower it to 72° at night. That is the only way we could keep it under 80°. Never did we say in any correspondence documented or otherwise that it didn't go above 78°. The only resolution that has been given to us was that industry standard is 15 to 20° below the outside temperature. So if it's 100° out the temperature in my house is 80 degrees. I don't know anybody that keeps their air-conditioning set at 80° in Florida or not. Southwest Florida dream builders never offered us any kind of monetary compensation. We scheduled the air conditioning company to come switch out the unit with the understanding that sour West Florida dream builders was taking care of the balance. Upon speaking with the air-conditioning company and them telling us we were responsible for the $3200.00 difference we then realized there is no resolution by Southwest Florida dream builders. The only resolution there is is a bigger air conditioning unit, Southwest Florida dream builders refuses to compensate us for that. We were told " I can't make them change the air conditioner if it was done to the same codes and standards as everyone else." The fact is The air-conditioner currently does not work for us and a larger air-conditioner would fix the issue. We did have an appointment scheduled to have a larger air conditioner put in until we were told that we would have to pay the full balance with no compensation from the builders who were supposed to build us a CUSTOM built home.

Southwest Florida Dream Builders Response • Aug 25, 2018

Again, we are sorry you feel this way. Attempts were in fact made to resolve this, please refer to our last response. As far as monetary compensation, this came in the form of the $1,500 credit from the HVAC company, who we contracted with to installed your A/C unit. The highest temp. reach that we were made aware of was 78 Degrees per our text message conversations which have been supplied to the Revdex.com. These messages also document our desire to explain and resolve the issue. In the messages you expressed the desire to have a solution and that you had no problem upgrading the unit. We have supplied that opportunity for you with a discount in place, which you are refusing to accept. The last contact we had with you on the subject; which again is recorded in texts and supplied to Revdex.com, is our explanation of the credit and the ability to upgrade the unit. This was the last we heard of the issue before receiving this complaint, therefore we were under the impression it was resolved. You state we were "supposed to build you a CUSTOM home" in your last response and we did, please refer back to your very positive review on the Revdex.com website after taking possession of the home under the name *** J. This is not an issue with the building of your home, this is an issue with the high temperatures that have been reached this summer and your personal "desired" interior temperatures.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The $1500 credit that is being offered by the HVAC company is only a third of what it would cost to upgrade the unit. Had the unit been upgraded at the time of installation it would have only cost $1200. That is how much we are willing to pay for the upgrade. Again, the temperatures have gone up above 80° and we made the HVAC company aware of that. In these text messages that you are referring to, I said we never had any issues paying for any upgrades on the house. We would have paid for the upgraded air conditioning for $1200. We absolutely were happy with the house the first couple of months that we lived in it because the air conditioning was working fine and staying at 74°. The positive review was given when we Took possession of the house and the air conditioner was working. The HVAC company is willing to pay $1500, we are willing to pay $1200, Southwest Florida dream builders are not willing to pay anything. The Fact that my husband wrote a positive review just goes to show that we are fair people And we are not looking to get something for nothing. Saying that the air conditioning isn't staying at my desired temperature is just another way of saying the air conditioning is not working.

As a first time home builder, I had no idea what to do or expect. These guys were OUTSTANDING!!! Walked us thru the entire process, walked us thru the costs. Kept us updated on each step. House was finished EARLY!!! No cost overruns, no surprise's. Love the attention to detail on every step.

These guys are no nonsense. They told me they would build my family our dream house and boy did they deliver! The price never changed. Any obstacles that we faced they overcame. I've been in Florida for 4 years and it's very hard to find a quality builder. If you're looking to build a house and use anybody else you are a fool! I've done my due diligence and this father and son duo are the best! Thank you again asked WFL builders for the beautiful home!

It was a pleasure. So glad you are happy. Thanks again.

My mother and I just bought a home from Danny and Larry. We are extremely happy with how it turned out! They do a beautiful job! Thank you so much!

Southwest Florida Dream Builders Response

Thank you! We hope you two enjoy it for many years to come.

Great guys. Father and son team gave us no surprises. Everything was as quoted.

My experience with SWFL Dream Builders was excellent. We were kept informed at every stage of the construction process. If I ever had any questions on anything, Larry and Danny were always easy to get in touch with. They told us upfront that they build houses as if they were going to live in them, and they do. There were no hidden costs. Things that are upgrades in most construction companies are standard with SWFL Dream Builders. We are very pleased with our new home and very pleased with SWFL Dream Builders, and especially with Larry and Danny. I would recommend SWFL Dream Builders to anyone thinking about building a new home.
