I want an explanation as to the reading?? I know how much water I use and that high reading is when they were questionedThe man they are speaking of is [redacted] , my ex husband and he has been chasing leaks, running toilets, etcwith no resultThe bill hasn't been consistent, as I pay them and if the water usage was as they stated, how does the amounts change on what is being charged? Definition of a monopoly is the exclusive possession or control of the supply or trade in a commodity or serviceSo yes they are a monopolyI am not trying to start petty argumentsI am trying to live, as a single mother with two kidsEstablishments like this, should have strict codes to be governed byWater is a necessity, not something a consumer can make a choice to not have

Here is the usage history for the customer:2016/08/09 A 789850 2016/07/08 A 786850 2016/06/09 A 782100 2016/05/09 A 775050 2016/04/08 A 771300 2016/03/09 A 767800 2016/02/09 A 764300 2016/01/08 A 760200 2015/12/09 A 756350 2015/11/09 A 752500 2015/10/08 A 748350 2015/09/09 A 745100 2015/08/10 A 741450 2015/07/09 A 737600 2015/06/09 A 725450 2015/05/11 A 721350 2015/04/09 A 717500 2015/03/09 A 712700 2015/02/09 A 709100 2015/01/08 A 704900 2014/12/09 A 701150 2014/11/25 698800 Those are read dates, A (stands for actual read), the read and the resulting consumption. This property is a rental and if she feels her usage is too high she can contact Mr*** or a plumber vs trying to "chase the leaks" themselves. Her bills fluctuate by her usage which again is being provided above. Rhonda L***Office ManagerSWLCWS District

I want an explanation as to the reading?? I know how much water I use and that high reading is when they were questioned. The man they are speaking of is [redacted], my ex husband and he has been chasing leaks, running toilets, etc. with no result. The bill hasn't been consistent, as I pay them and if the water usage was as they stated, how does the amounts change on what is being charged? Definition of a monopoly is the exclusive possession or control of the supply or trade in a commodity or service. So yes they are a monopoly. I am not trying to start petty arguments. I am trying to live, as a single mother with two kids. Establishments like this, should have strict codes to be governed by. Water is a necessity, not something a consumer can make a choice to not have.

This customer started her account November 25, 2014 and the name on the account is [redacted].  Her average bill is 4,104 gallons.  Her last bill was 3,000 gallons.  The highest bill was reflected in the read on July 9, 2015 and was for 12,150 gallons.  We left a door hanger...

on July 13, 2015 as this account was on the exception report for "high consumption".  At that time the inspector got a read reflected usage back down to 3,700 gallons (average use for this customer), spoke with gentleman on the front porch who stated he would check the toilets and he thought it might be an isolated incident.   The customer service representatives are also consumers of the water/sewer.  Every municipality or district, etc has exclusive service areas however we are not a monopoly.  In fact this property at one time was serviced by a well which was abandoned and connection to the public water is the choice of service. The District customer service representatives do know that the District's water rates are consistent with other providers in the area at $5.33 per thousand gallons, the sewer rate is high at $10.18 per thousand gallons.  The District has a debt elimination fee as well at the flat rate of $11.95.  This is to pay down the debt incurred in the upgrade of the sewer plant to meet EPA requirements on discharge.  It started at $20.70 in 2000 and has been lowered to it's current rate.  The District is a newer ORC 6119 and as such has higher rates than Reynoldsburg who purchases their water from Columbus.  Columbus is well established and has lower rates.I reviewed her account and find that other than a higher bill in the summer of 2015 this customer is in line with the EPA's 80 gallons per day per person average.
