We (SOS) reviewed and investigated the complaintThe issue was a miscommunication between the insurance company and the MRI staffFactually, the issue was unrelated to the operations of SOS (SOS does not have an MRI; SOS refers MRI requests
to other organizations); however, in the interest of trying to take care of our (SOS's) patient, we inquired and requested the patient's balance be adjusted
SOS referred the patient for an MRIAt that point, SOS was completely out of the loopThe complaint should not have been made against SOS, but the reality is the complexity of healthcare finance and structure understandably led the patient to make the complaint against SOS because they did not understand the mechanics of how such things work
While we (SOS) have no control over the patient's insurance billings or the MRI provider's billings, we have worked to try and manage the situation so the patient is taken care of as best as we possibly can
