Regarding: Mr. [redacted] Response Letter,1: We did not know part number or model number off furnace. Or what exactly was wrong. That is why we sent a tech out there to diagnose what was wrong. No one can diagnose aproblem over the phone that is for sure. Not a furnace not a car not anything.2: He was told by me it would cost $150.00 to open up a supplier on a Holiday weekend that iswhat they charge me and it is pasted on to the customer. 1 also did tell him there was a chargeof $75.00 to send the tech out to pick it up. 1 have to cover the time and money to pick the partu.p. It is called overhead. He was told by the tech we would reduce that price from $75.00 to$50.00 dollar because the parts he need were in [redacted] not too far away.3: Mr. [redacted] did try to talk My Tech into doing for $250.00 cash. The tech said he would befired for doing something like that and the tech called me at that moment. Mr. [redacted] is notbeing truthful. All calls incoming and outgoing in our company are recorded. So his statementcan be verified to be untruthful. While my tech was there and told Mr. [redacted] what partswhere need he found them on his smart phone via internet? He found the parts for under ahundred dollars. He told the tech that what we were charging was too much money. Everycompany that operates a business has the right to make a profit or they will not stay inBusiness.4: Mr. [redacted] did call me hours after the tech left his house again on a recorded line andthreatened me with social media, the Revdex.com, and stopping payment on his credit card. I told himto be very careful with what he would say on social media. As far as the Revdex.com he had the right tofile a complaint as long as he truthful on the complaint which he has not been. As far asstopping payment on his credit card he can't, he signed a legal service ticket approving all thework performed. I would have contested the charge back by simply providing the Signedservice ticket to the processing center.5: As far as the additional charge for 79.11. That is a level one repair in our up front price foradditional time. When the tech arrived at the furnace the blower wheel had collapsed into thebottom of furnace. The tech advised him he would need to take the blower out to find out ifthere was any damage done to the blower shaft. At that time he approved the work and signedfor on the service ticket. Please look at the copy of the service ticket I provided you. Therefore, will not refund the money back to Mr. [redacted]. The work was done and approved by him.6: He was told everything up front and by the law. It is his opinion that our prices are too high. That being said they are competitive in our line of the industry. No one was deceptive with Mr. [redacted] not me, not my tech, no one. Look at the supportingdocument. And I have the phone conversations recorded. I have nothing to hide. I have builtthis company to over 35,000 happy customers. I did not do that by being deceptive ordishonest. In closing I will not refund any amount of money to Mr. [redacted]. If Mr. [redacted] can find partson the internet for his furnace, for less money that is his choice. He can order them, wait forthem, hope they are the right ones and not defective or damaged. This does not justify merefunding money to him for services rendered.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The response from [redacted] is filled with inaccuracies.1.
 [redacted]
contents that “He did not know make our model numbers, or actually how much
damage was done” What actually happened is that I gave them the make and model
of my furnace. If required I could have gotten the part number off of the blower
wheel, but was never asked for it. I only thing I was not sure of was if the
motor was damaged or not. His statement is false.2.
[redacted] contents that “I also told him it would be
$75 to pick up the part…” The only person who told me this was the tech who
came onsite. I was shocked when I heard this from the tech since I was not
previously quoted this amount. The statement again from [redacted] is completely
false.3.
[redacted] contents that “Mr. [redacted] did his best to
talk my tech into doing the work for $250 cash”. I never said I wanted the job
done for cash or off the books. I said can you be reasonable with the rate and
do it for $250. I explained to the tech that the prices were not in line with
industry standard and the job should cost about $250 to do. The tech said he
had to go by the book. I said that is fine, but can you check with your boss if
he will accept $250 for the job. He did not contact his boss. [redacted] is trying
to make it appear as if I was trying to go around the company and work directly
with the tech. This is blatantly false. I encouraged the tech to check with his
boss if he would give me a discount so they could get the business.4.
[redacted] contents that “He also stated that if I
did not refund his money he would use social media to give our company a bad
name” That statement is completely false. I never mentioned social media. I do
not use social media. What I stated is that I would file a report with the Revdex.com.
5.
[redacted] contents that I was quoted $129.95 to examine
the unit. This is one of the few accuracies in his response. When the tech got
onsite they changed their price to an additional $79.11. They also added the
$50 fee to pick up the part which I was not previously quoted. 6.
[redacted] contents that “In overview he was told up
front and every step of the way and was given all the choices” I was not told
upfront about the $79.11 and I was not told upfront about the $50. I also was
not told upfront about the outrageous price of $537.96 for the part/repair when
I asked about it. They were dishonest with me through the whole process and not
continue to lie about what actually happened. As per the supporting document I was charged for a “level 1
minor repair” for $79.11. You can see however that I signed “declines repair by
homeowner”. They wrote on the invoice that I declined all repairs so I should
not be charged for any “repairs”.
[redacted] is being deceptive about what actually happened which
goes in line with my experience with this company. [redacted] confirmed in his
response that I told them what the problem was, but they refused to quote me a
price to fix it. As far as overhead and costs, I work in IT and have worked in
consulting. I used to charge $150/hr for my work and minimal markup for parts.
If this was a job I was quoting someone it would have been 1 hour of labor
around $70 for the part if it cost me $57.95. This adds up to $220 total. Add a
little extra for travel time and you get $250 for the whole job. [redacted] has
still yet to give a price break down with the numbers of hours required to
replace the part and the price of the part itself. You only bundle to hide the
true cost and overcharge people. I believe I should get a full refund, but at
this point I am will to accept $79.11+tax as a compromise.Regards,
[redacted]

On January 28, 2014 at approximately 9:44 am Mr. [redacted] called our officethree times on a recorded line. He told me that his blower wheel was broke onhis Armstrong furnace. He did not know make our model numbers, or actuallyhow much damage was done. He asked several times if we had a blower...

wheel instock. 1 replied that nobody would have it in stock on a holiday weekend otherthan a distributer. He could not tell me exactly what parts he needed, so my replyto him was that it would be $129.95 to come out plus any time there fordisassembly. The only way 1 could get a blower wheel assembly is to open up adistributer after hours on a holiday weekend. I also told him three times that itwould be $150.00 to open up a distributer, that is what they charge me and thatwould be passed on to the customer. I also told him it would be $75.00 to pick upthe part which would also be passed on to him the customer. Being he resides in[redacted], and the distributer is [redacted] it would only chargehim $50.00. At that time he authorized me to send the technician out on therecorded line. My technician arrived 11:28 am and once again explained thecharges and disassembled the blower compartment. At that time, it wasdetermined that he needed a blower wheel assembly, as it was broken at thecenter hub where the motor attached. The technician gave him our up front pricefor the blower assembly installed including the price to open the distributer andthe pickup charge. ($150.00 + $50.00 = $200.00) at that time Mr. [redacted] did hisbest to talk my tech into doing the work for $250.00 cash. To which thetechnician explained that he would be fired if he did something like that, andcalled me to explain what was happening. At that time Mr. [redacted] declined allrepair, he approved the work with his signature on the service ticket up to thispoint. He also stated to the technician that he could find the blower wheel online for under $100.00 dollars, and again tried to talk the technician into doing itfor $250.00 cash. At 2:44 pm Mr. [redacted] called our office again on a recordedline that he had found the blower wheel on line for $57.95. He argued with meon how we charge our customers, he was told up front pricing before we got tohis house, and again when we arrived. He demanded all his money back and Ideclined for obvious reasons. He also stated that if I did not refund his money hewould use socia l media to give our company a bad name and threatened me witha Revdex.com complaint. I replied to him that he could file a Revdex.com complaint, it is his rightand I would take the affirmative action if he did. He proceeded to tell me hewould stop payment on his credit card. I said he could try to do that, however hehad signed the invoice to approve the work in three places. He approved the$129.95 on a holiday weekend, and the additional work while the technician wasthere. The technician was there an hour and 5 minutes. He charged him a level 4repair to disassemble the unit which was $79.11 the diagnostic $129.95. Whichequaled $209.06 + tax $10.66 for a grand total of $219.72. We will supply thesupporting document HS 4182 with all the approved signatures. In overview hewas told up front and every step of the way and was given all the choices anddeclined the repair. Therefore, I will not refund any money.Mr. [redacted] has to understand that I have overhead, such as the cost of vehicles, the cost of the technician, insurance, workman's compensation, building, the veryphone he called on... just to name a few. Overhead is not inexpensive. He did callon a holiday weekend after hours and we did answer the phone 24/7. He has noreason to ask for any back nor will he get any. Nobody works for free.
