My real estate agent referred me to ProAce International Moving and Storage and I am extremely delighted that she didIt was a move set for December 30th, and was looking forward to move to my new locationThe owner came in for an assessment of my goods, provided me a quote that same evening and signed up for this serviceThey estimate the move to be hours and it only took They wrapped the furniture properly and no damages occurredSome of my furniture was a bit bigger to enter in the front door of the new house but they manage to bring it it through the door in the backyardThey didn't stop until it found its way inThanks ProAce for your hard working team and I appreciate all your helpYou made this move stress free Andi

I just wanted to share my experience with ProAce Moving and StorageMy real estate agent provided me their info as a referral and I contacted them with what I neededI spoke to one of the representatives and because of the amount of furniture I had to move, they sent me to someone with more experienceI was glad I was able to explain my situation and a detailed quote was provided to me based on our one hour conversationThey also sent someone to make sure that I didn't forget to mention everythingI needed packing so they recommended me to pack my house a day before and do the actual move the next dayAfter the packing day, I knew what they meantThey were very detailed with packing but used recycled boxes which was 1/of the actual cost which saved me lots of moneyI appreciated their suggestions and thanks to them, I was able to cut on the cost of the moveThey came the next morning and did the move which went with no trouble at all because they place all the furniture near the front door so they can expedite loadingThey completed the move under the estimated time and saved me money on the second day as wellThanks for all their attention to detail, there was no damage on any of my furnitureI would recommend them all

I have called MrAmzallag at last minute as my plans have changed - it was a Sunday night and I had to move TuesdayHe was very responsive and I was given a fair quote within an hourThe crew showed up days later, on time and they were all very professionalDuring my move, MrAmzallag called me several times to ensure everything was going wellMoving is a stressful day but ProAce made it so much easierIt was a smooth transition - no issues at all and everything got to my destination without any damage - all my furniture was carefully procted and wrappedNext time I move, I am definitely chosing ProAce

We hired ProAce to move from a townhouse to a house miles awayThey gave the job to subcontractors who are full-time academics and do moving on the side to make extra cashThe problem was, they were bad at movingNot only was it physically difficult for them to move heavy items, they also didn't know much about moving in generalThe way they packed up the contents of our home was amateurishSoft, non-breakable items – such as a foam mattress – were wrapped in six layers of bubble wrap and duct tapeThey were also extremely slowThey had budgeted one day for packing and one day for movingAt the end of the first day they had only packed up half of our thingsAt one point it started raining, and instead of continuing to work, they just hung around the garage waiting for the rain to endIn addition, their truck was really small, meaning they needed to make trips to empty a townhouse instead of being able to do it in oneBecause this obviously took more time, we ended up paying the priceAlso, although the trip between the two houses took us minutes, somehow each trip took them 70+ minutesIn the end, the entire move took full daysBy the evening of the 3rd day, we were so desperate to have them complete the job that we had them drop items in the garage for us to move inside and assemble ourselves – which meant WE did a large chunk of the work we were paying them forWe later discovered that many of the boxes had funny sayings scrawled on themIt was offensive to learn that they had wasted our time amusing themselvesFurther, they were adamant that they could not fit our treadmill down our basement stairsThe very next morning, we did it ourselvesThey did unnecessary things such as dismantling furniture that could have been moved wholeThey removed the banister at our townhouse in order to get the bedroom furniture downstairs (even though the original movers who moved the furniture UPSTAIRS managed to do it just fine with the banister in place) and created a gaping hole that we then had to spend time and money repairingThere’s moreThey left a leg of our patio table in their truck, rendering the table useless, and didn’t return it until a week laterThey broke our TV stand (but to their credit, they did order a new one.) They lost the railing of a dresser drawer, rendering the entire dresser uselessWhen told about this, the owner told us that “replacement parts are probably available online.” Why is that our responsibility? When the move was finally over at AM on Day 3, they forgot to return our house key and had to be texted to return in the middle of the nightLater, we found out they had left several items in our townhouseAt the end of it all, the charge was 300% of the original estimateThat meant that a 12-mile move cost us more than our last INTERSTATE move, with the same amount of belongingsWhen we questioned them, we got nothing but blame and excusesExcuse #1: It was apparently our fault for underestimating how much we owned(This despite the fact that we filled out a detailed online survey of our belongingsIf pages of questions could result in an estimate that was so drastically off-target, there is something wrong with the surveyAdditionally, we, unlike many other people, actually know how much our belongings weigh because our last move was a military move, which requires having your moving truck weighed at a station.) Excuse #2: It was apparently our fault because we owned a lot of thingsThis is ridiculousThe CEO, Dan, never set foot in our house, and just believed everything the subcontractors were telling himThey TOLD him we had a lot of stuff in order to excuse their slow work, but it wasn’t trueExcuse #3: It was apparently our fault because our belongings were really heavyThat is absurdWe own exactly one bedroom setThe rest of our furniture is cheap and limitedExcuse #4: They charge more because they’re really carefulReally? Because they damaged more items than our last, cheaper, interstate movers didDan complained that despite our huge bill, he made almost no moneyFirst of all, that’s not our problemSecondly, if he's unhappy AND we're unhappy, something's seriously wrong with his business planIn addition, although we spent $on boxes prior to the move at their request, we were charged an additional $for moving suppliesThe reams of bubble wrap the movers wasted on toilet paper rolls got charged to usIn all, we were left infuriated at our treatment by this company and the subcontractors they usedTo us, it feels like they committed fraud – they deliberately wasted time and material to drive up our cost, and they didn’t care at all about making the customer happyThis is money we don’t have and food out of our children’s mouthsWe wonder if they’re writing fake positive online reviews about themselvesWe have no choice but to make sure we spread the word far and wide to never, ever use ProAce Movers
