Business states that they have been adjusting to new ownership and apologize for the inconvenience createdBusiness thanks the consumer for making them aware of the situation and will have the tank picked up by the 1st of December

I am rejecting this response because: I have been told the tank
would be picked up SEVERAL TIMES and every time they don't come thru. Why is this any different? What ensures it will be picked up by 12/? How about a refund for the tank rental for the entire year that I haven't been using the tank and they haven't picked it up ?

Review: When Souza Propane picked up their tank I was paid in full to October of 2014. They refused to pro-rate my tank rental saying " This is what we do"

I never signed a contract with them as they were here already when I bought the house.

I paid on time everytime, paid in full no damage to tank.

Other company's will pro-rate and their policy if "This is what they do" is totally wrong, (I spoke to [redacted] & a man named [redacted] at the company).Desired Settlement: Give me my money back as it's wrong to keep it now since they have their tank back & I owe nothing to them

Response:

A rental agreement was signed 10/5/09 at start of service by [redacted] clearly stating "NO REFUNDS--NON TRANSFERABLE" on tank rentals. Also, I am not aware of other propane companies that will pro-rate tank rental. It has been my experience that not pro-rating tank rental is standard practice with propane companies, especially when rented tanks are removed at customers request. Propane tanks are rented for a period of time, and customers are able to use their tanks for the entire rental period. In this case the tank was removed from the [redacted] residence when we were instructed to do so by [redacted]. Annual rental for the above tank was $70.00 plus tax. The rental period was from Oct. 1, 2013 thru Oct. 1, 2014. Tank was picked up 3/12/14. I have attached a copy of the rental agreement.

Response:

I signed this contract for a dollar + tax as it says. I know nothing about the 70.00 + tax written in. I did call when I got a tank rental bill later, but was told they had to raise prices. I paid it. I paid all bills bought in bulk one year, and was an excellent. customer, and never was late with a payment. I changed to regular route later on.

I opened a small business on my property and Suburban Propane offered me business rates. I called Souza and told them about the other offer. They did not offer me any better rates, So I changed companys. I was being fair to Souza to at least call and ask.

My propane company "will" pro rate, as I made sure & told Souza this. Please call Surburban Porpane if you wish.

Souza picked up the tank in Feb about the 10th as my new company put their tank in. March is not correct they should check their records to this when the contract say "No Refunds non transferable", it does not say "No prorate"

When the Souza man came to get his tank he told me they would refund my rental payment, but this never happened.

I have done what I thought was fair but I wasn't treated fairly

P.S. I had the Souza driver check tank and it was in good shape also!

Review: we were using this business for propane at our rental home that's located at [redacted] in Twain Harte. We cancelled service with Souza Propane back in Jan 2015. They said they didn't get our message the propane tank (which is rented) sat in the driveway for 8 months. in late August I started calling weekly asking when the tank would be removed, and they had no date as to when they could come. They just kept saying "we will get out there as soon as we can". This is a rental and we have tenants living there. The tank takes up a portion of the driveway. It's completely unacceptable to me that not only would the tank sit there for 10 months, but the company cannot give me a date as to when they can pick it up. How much longer do we have to wait? Why can't they pick it up now? The tank is large and I can't transport it myself or else I would.please help.Desired Settlement: COME AND PICK UP YOUR PROPANE TANK NOW.
