Beware
Beware when purchasing Spa Finder gift cards! I received a $50 gift card and no where on the card did it indicate that it was a single use card. The card states “Total value of card must be redeemed at a single facility”. I used the card for a $20 service and then found out that I had lost the remaining $30. Forget trying to speak with a live agent. Their customer service is a joke. All correspondence is done thru email. They consistently ignored my responses and kept closing out my request, all the while putting the blame on the spa that I went too. Accused the spa of overcharging my card. I have been dealing with Spa Finder since Oct 2022. Walk right past that Spa Finder gift card display at your local stores. This company is not worthy of your money. Spa Finder does not even worthy of the 1 star I had to provide to write this review.

SCAM! These people have my $200 and after 3 calls to customer service being lied to and given the run a round I still have not received my gift card. The first customer service rep actually hung up on me after I told him my situation. The other two I spoke with confirmed they received my order and that they received my $200 but don't know why I am not receiving the GC. They both told me supervisors would contact me and they never did. DON'T WAIST YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS COMPANY!

Purchasing this giftcard for my husband was a HUGE mistake! We have had it sitting here for over a year due to the VERY limited selection of Spas you can use. Half of the links for Spas on the website do not work because the spa is no longer available! I called customer service and told him I was looking for a refund and he laughed at me! Told me I could give it to a friend or sell it on "cardpool.com"(which takes a percentage of your money). Since I was angry and desperate to get rid of it, I checked out the recommended website and they do NOT even accept SpaFinder giftcards! Very frustrated. On a side note, why can I not leave a Zero Star review?!

I would give them a minus one, if I could. DO NOT PURCHASE these gift cards. Once you buy it, your money is gone. There is no chance of getting it back. My children give me spa gift cards for birthdays and Mother’s Day and have used them in the past. It just so happens that my massage therapist took the cards and I used them for my facials. My massage therapist no longer takes them and my facials spa no longer takes them because Spa Finder doesn’t pay them on time and customer service is terrible. I think they are having financial issues. I just had my eyebrows done at the spa I frequent using my gift cards. When I went to pay, they said they are putting them on hold and not taking them because they had several cards that they are still waiting for their money on. I had to fork over the money and now I have these cards that I can no longer use. I called them and they said they were not getting call backs but the spa I go to said they are not responding to their requests for payment. Lies, lies and lies. I called them for a refund on my cards and they told me I’m SOL, no refunds. Get your gift cards directly from the company that provides you with your services and DON’T USE these cards.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Spa Finder has set their system up according to a Manager so that they have no access to change anything. According to him, no one in the company can change anything once it is set in "stone" by the end user. All I wanted was a gift card to honor an employee and there was no option on Spa Finder to print a GC off on their site and no warning to NOT use your business email to receive the confirmation that never came through. Apparently business emails get lost often! That is something that should be disclosed. The manager then proceeded to offer no solution to get me the e-gift card I have already been waiting 20 hours for other then to refund it. Then when I accepted the fact that I would receive a refund I asked for them to send me the refund receipt to another email to ensure that I receive it for my bank reconciliation and my accounting department and he said he was not responsible for that. All I can say is I am livid, and would NEVER recommend them ever.

Review: I attempted to redeem a SpaFinder Wellness Gift Card on February [redacted] 2015 for $100. The card number was not being accepted by Spa Finder's online redemption system. After emailing [redacted] at Spa Finder's customer service, she asked for a scan or picture of the Gift Card. I sent [redacted] a picture of the gift card, but she never replied with an answer on when my money would be redeemed.

It has been almost a month and no one from Spa Finder will help redeem the gift card. I need to get paid and they are not responding to phone calls (twice) or emails following up on my request.Desired Settlement: I need the $100 redeemed and credited to my Spa Finder account immediately.

Review: I own a small(3 chair ) hair salon in [redacted]. We use an online software booking system that partnered with Spafinder(and SpaWish, a division of Spafinder now). We have been dealing with issues with this company for three years now by having new clients try to book appointments saying they have purchased gift cards that they would like to redeem with us. We have never opted into the Spafinder program and absolutely do not accept their gift cards. I have our software system set up to say we do not accept their gift cards and have phoned and emailed Spafinders customer service on several occasions to ask that they take us off their list of businesses that accept their cards. Today we had a new client , who when it came time to pay for her haircut, presented us with a $50 gift card printed off her computer from SpaWish( her haircut came to $68.25). When we informed her we don't actually accept those, she became very upset and insisted she found our salon on their website . We looked it up, and ,sure enough we are still listed as accepting their gift cards on BOTH websites! We were left no choice, but to honour the $50, as to not upset the client any further, which we will not be compensated for! This is unacceptable business practice on Spafinders behalf,as it harms small businesses...I have contacted my online booking software provider and demanded they solve this issue once and for all.Desired Settlement: Not only would I like to be compensated for the full amount of $50, I insist that our salon be removed immediately from their website(s).

Dear Revdex.com,

We’re truly sorry that [redacted]’s customer service experience was negative. We’ve taken immediate actions to address the issues raised, and notified MINDBODY of the owner’s request to be taken off Spafinder.com and SpaWish.com.

We also asked [redacted] to please provide us the $50 gift card number that was honored at his salon and to send us a photocopy to our email [redacted] or fax ###-###-#### and we’ll make sure that this gift card is redeemed, and our Finance department will reimburse [redacted] the full amount of $50.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Your assistance is greatly appreciated and we shall remain at your disposal for further information you may require from Spafinder Wellness.

Review: On January *, 2015 I attempted to use a $50 SpaFinder giftcard at a location that SpaFinder listed as "Accepts SpaFinder Giftcards" on their website. The provider refused to accept the gift card and I had to pay $50 out of pocket. I contacted SpaFinder that day with my complaint. I then sent a series of three followup emails when I did not hear back. I finally received a response on January ** - 24 days after my initial complaint. I provided additional information and my complaint was sent to management. On February [redacted], SpaFinder contacted me and asked me to send my gift card to them and they would provide a $50 refund. I mailed the card on February [redacted]. I have yet to receive my refund. An additional follow-up email sent on March [redacted] has not been followed up with. The email chain is below. Please note that I do not know original purchase details of the card, as it was given to me as a gift.

Good evening -

I received a Spafinder Wellness 365 gift card for my birthday and booked a massage at [redacted] and [redacted] in [redacted], Montana, which is listed as "Accepts Spafinder gift cards" on your website. However, upon checkout, the receptionist informed me that the business no longer has a Spafinder account and that I would have to pay out of pocket for my service. They offered me a $10 discount for the misunderstanding, but I still had to pay $50 - a big disappointment. Please let me know how this situation can be remedied.

Thank you,

Dear Spafinder -

This is now the third time I am emailing to follow up on my complaint from 1/*/2015. I noticed that [redacted] has now been removed from your website as a provider that accepts your cards, however, no one has contacted me regarding my situation. Please do so at your earliest convenience. Your lack of attention to customer service is frustrating.

Dear Spafinder Customer Service -

I am not sure that I understand your solution to this problem. I do not have any issues with my current gift card. The only issue is that I went to an establishment that refused to take it, despite being listed otherwise at the Spafinder website. A credit card refund will not work, as the card was given to me as a gift. Would it be possible to issue a cash refund or to issue a second $50 Spafinder giftcard?

Thank you,

March **, 2015

Hi -

I am emailing to inquire about the refund for my $50 SpaFinder gift card, which I sent in over a month ago. This simple customer service issue has been ongoing for over two months now with every effort generated from my side. It has been frustrating, to say the least.

Thank you for your prompt follow up,

**Desired Settlement: The business should provide a refund and apology as soon as possible. Their customer service has been atrocious.

Review: Spa Finder sells gift certificates for customers to redeem at a variety of spas, fitness studios, etc.

Our fitness studio, [redacted], is listed on the Spa Finder website as a facility where Spa Finder gift certificates can be redeemed.

Review: On March *, 2015 I visited Hand & Stone Spa and was forced to use the full amount on my gift card. My service was only $89.95, so I was not refunded the $10. I called SpaFinder right away and the lady was very nice saying I was correct, they should have given me store credit and she will pass my information to corporate. Two weeks later no response, I finally (after one (1) email and one (1) voicemail) get a customer service representative who said I can file a complaint, but there is nothing she can do... really! You do not abide or hold your 'spas' accountable for this statement on your website "The total value of the card must be redeemed at a single participating partner. Any unused balance will be converted to credit at that participating location. Card must be surrendered at time of redemption."Desired Settlement: Request my outstanding balance of $10.
